Have you entered the API number and the secret number from Facebook yet?
It wont show until you add those characters.

Yes you have to create a Facebook Group or just use the registered user group and when they sign on they can then use your forum.

It happens just after I've used the popup box to login (and it's disappeared), in the main window.

Not sure whats going on.... Any ideas?

Which page and in which browser did you encountered this?

Sent you a PM but you didn't reply. Hmm, it looked like something has been sent to output before vBulletin html. Please double check

I think this idea will be done as a plugin of YAFB (just like how I did with vBBlog and Post Thank You Hack)

It's best if you can take a screenshot. Anyway, sounded like a Javascript problem?

mrpaint 03-23-2010 11:30 PM

In case you haven't noticed yet. I have just bring the demo forums online back but this time behind a simple authentication (as I heard it's possible to run a demo forums that way). Read the very first post for instruction and link. I hope I won't receive any complaint about it :D

Is it possible to ban a facebook logged in user that breaks our forum rules? And can my Moderators see the facebook logged in user's Name, Email address, Address and IP somehow if needed?

KURTZ 03-24-2010 10:30 AM

Delilahs 03-24-2010 11:45 AM

Mr Paint, there is a template alignment problem when This Mod and vbsoccer are active together. both mods are fine on there own, but when YAY is turned on along with other vSA mods such as;

VSa - Auto Birthday Greeter 2.0.3 VSa - Auto Birthday Greeter
VSa - Login To User Account 3.0.3 VSa - Login To User Account
Yay! Another Facebook Bridge

The alignments on the templates are wrong, could you work with the coder of vBsoccer to sort this problem?

Cheers

Hello,

I have a member who used it to create a new username (we are all new to this). Is there a way to set the connection to his old username and move his new posts (just a few) to his old account?

Thanks
WC

Sure I think you can. In his new accounts profile (facebook options area), he should see a link to "Disconnect Facebook From..." The user should click that to remove the connection to the user. Then logout. You as admin can merge the new user/posts into the old users account.
Now that old user logs into their regular forum account and clicks the Connect to Facebook in user profile/facebook option and sets up options normally.

I would think that would work ok.

Yeah, sorry I didn't yet back to you, been busy and was waiting until I had the time to spend on trying to get it to work.

Anyway, after reverting all templates and disabling all other products, I was still getting the same problem, so I uninstalled YAFB and re-installed with the upgraded product, which solved it.

However, I now have another problem - when I try to connect via a new Facebook account, it tells me there?s no account on my site and re-directs me to the registration page to put a username in, which I would expect.

However, after filling in a username and clicking ?complete registration? it gives me this message: ?The email address you entered is already in use. If you have forgotten your password, please click here.?

So, I click and fill in the e-mail address only to be told: ?You have not entered an email address that we recognize. Please try again or contact the administrator.? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

Other than an alignment issue, that's what you're supposed to see every time you log in.

grc 03-29-2010 02:26 PM

I'm sure this is answered somewhere but I can't even think of how to ask in a search...

Right now, I can post on my profile page in vBulletin and have that post appear on my Facebook wall. Now I'd like to have items I post to my Facebook wall appear on my vBulletin page.

Is that possible? How?

Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

Kdicuori 03-29-2010 02:53 PM

Hi all,

I am trying this product on a 3.8.4 board. I have put all the files in the docroot then tried to upload the xml product file.

When doing so, the page freezes, waiting for an answer from the server ... server load is 0, no significant hung queries.

Can anyone give me some troubleshooting tips?

Thanks,

M.

When I click on http://www.surfzone.se/forum/profile.php?do=fbb_pages to enable publish to page account I get this error

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

Missing table prefix in some code?

Found it in hook_profile_start.php
$vbulletin->db->query_write("

");

The table prefix is missing. I hardcoded my prefix and now it works fine.

Currently YAFB only support getting comments from Facebook and posting them as guest post in Forums

Yeah. It's weird to have a table prefix missing there!

Updated new version 3.2.4
Mostly to fix the weird right-to-left issue

outasite 03-30-2010 05:55 PM

I am brand new to VB and my knowledge is growing, but it's still remedial at best. I know nothing of code, programming etc.

Should I even attempt to try and upload this myself.

I think it's a great addition and would be really valuable to my forums.

I'm running 3.8.1 right now.

Thanks

Please make sure this file exists: (check with your FTP client)

public_html/thewindows7site.com/forum/fbb/hook_init_startup.php

LifesGreatestGift 03-30-2010 07:45 PM

It does. What do I need to edit in the files or database to stop vbulletin from requiring that and disable the mod. My site has been down for hours. :(

I fixed it. Apparently when I was uploading this mod, I was connected to someone elses forum through FTP so I thought it was uploading the files to mine :)

Thx for the help :)

You would have to edit your navbar template and right after where it says

<li>
//// THE LINK FOR VIDEO GAMES
</li>

you would put

<li>
<a rel="nofollow" href="./facebook.php">
<img width="16" height="16" border="0" src="./fbb/facebook_logo_16x16.gif">
Connect with Facebook
</a>
</li>

So here is the before and after
