Will there be one for 3.8?

No matter which option I have set, my columns always appear underneath where my time is "All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:37 AM."

Any help?

Hmm, I have 3.8.1 and I can not get this to show up at all. I have messed with all of the settings but it still does not display. Any thoughts?

Yes, usergroups are set to view the left column. I have also enabled the left column in vboptions and checked which boxes I want to display.

decided to make the switch to vb advanced

First I am going to say I love this mod, best thing since sliced bread :)

How do you add the side columns to the DownloadsII pages? The mod I am talking about is found here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ight=downloads

If I enable them to be displayed on all pages the side columns show up but I am now running vbadvanced 3.0.1 so this causes a problem on my home page.

The only way I can see to get it running right would be to add the DownloadsII to your page list. Is there a way I can edit the xml and add the DownloadsII pages then re-import the xml?

Better yet, maybe make a disable on index.php option?

Update:

I found a way around this for now, I renamed my vbadvanced homepage php to something else and renamed the index.php back to the forum... so now the index.php points to the forum again :(

I wanted the index.php to point to my home page (vbadvanced index) then I forwarded my domain to the new php file that points to the vbadvanced.

Last update: I have uninstalled this mod, vbadvanced is the way to go for side columns. It can have side columns on any (every) page you want. It took a little of searching in the vbadvanced forums but finally I have done it. Hope this helps someone.

Hi Great Product but i am having trouble using it . It seems to have installed ok but i coudl not fnd the 2.1 files ?

Also how do i make blocks , what do i need etc

Any word on when or if this mod is going to be updated to work with vB3.8.1?

Uninstalled since promised expansion pack for more blocks per side has not been released.

I can't delete custom links from my UserCP. I added the link, it added to the custom column, and it worked. I decided to remove it (it was a test link) by clicking "delete" in my UserCP... it brought me to the screen where it said it was deleted, and the reloaded my UserCP. The link is still there. Logged off, cleared cookies, log in on a different computer... clicked "delete" a dozen times and it always says it's being deleted, but never gets deleted.

Help?

Would love to learn how people updated this to 3.8.1 or whether the original maker is interested in updating it.

Here's a fix for anyone that's having trouble deleting the custom links... The custom content won't delete because of a little bug in Kerry Anne's code.

You can put in your own links. In your control panel there is a place to put any special links you want.

Thanks. I don't use them - I use OpenX to deliver banner adverts or text link ads and insert the OpenX code via the template edit --- use it on 7 forums (one still 3.6; 3 are 3.7's and 3 are 3.'8) - they all work well.

Works on mine except for the Custom Columns.

I just helped a user of one of my Plug-Ins who was also using your Plug-In and they had a problem :(

I was able to trace the problem to your "USC Alignment Fix" (or my "Sorky03 - SubForum List Control - parse_templates" parse_template hook). I changed the execution order of yours from 5 to 6 and they both play together nicely ;)

Similarly, I may be able to change the execution order of mine and they may also play together nicely, but as I noticed that you have two (2) parse_template hooks, I thought it worth getting your thoughts on how we can make sure this is not a recurring issue

ok, so i've seen this question asked several times in this thread but i don't see any responses. So i'll give it yet another shot.

I would like to add UserCP, Calendar, Recent Posts, Avatar etc., to the side column. Where do i find the codes to ad these?

Even a point in the right direction would be a big help as i can't find anything

thanks smitty. The avatar yes i meant members avatar. i'd like to duplicate them to the side panel, not just the links but the actual applications

I can't help you with the avatar - Sounds like a CMS front page type of thing and I don't use one, but the others from the navbar you can just copy out and do a table (so they're stacked) to drop in your sidebar.

This *assumes* you're familiar with the navbar template and how the conditionals are set up and such so you can divide the components you want and the associated conditionals correctly.

SOLVED!

With something very simple I solved a problem that already was 4 months old and nobody knew the solution here and other forums in spanish.

The column Right was outside the body of the forum (image 1) because I was using thys simbol "/" to separate texts.

Now, I changed to the symbol "/" by a comma "," and the letter "Y" and ready, Solved!! (image 2).
