Hi,
Love this Mod. We consider it essential. Excellent job! Issue: We want each Group Starter (Leader) to moderate his own social forum. I see how that is enabled, and so far, so good. However, the default Moderator permissions for Group Leaders are not quite what we want. They are more encompassing than we want to grant, so we want to dial the permissions down a little. How do I set the default Moderator permissions for Group Leaders? I know I can change them after the fact, but that still can cause dangerous situations. The default settings give the Group Leaders too much power across the boards. I'm hoping there's an easy way to set default Social Group Moderator permissions. Thanks in advance. |
YabbaDabba, please don't cross-post. I answered you in the 3.8 Thread.

Sorry for any confusion, but I intended it as 2 separate issues, not a cross post.
We currently run on vB 3.7 and use this SF 1.4.6 plug-in. The Moderator permissions issue is real for us right now. Hence my earlier post above. We have been pushing back the upgrade to vB 3.8 until your SF 2.0 mod was released. We are running a vB3.8 dev site and trying a first pass integration with SF2. Various timing and resource issues are likely to delay the release of the our 3.8 site upgrade until mid-year. We need the mod permissions issue resolved for both SF releases. You had indicated earlier that 2.0 was to be a substantial rewrite. So I asked the same question for both SF releases (1.4.6 and 2.0) in the expectation that there were two different answers. |

In 2.0 the way the permissions are entered did not changed. In 1.4.6 you will change a plugin, in 2.0 you will need to edit a file. |
Any screenshots or demo's yet?

You can see my site for a demo :) Working and all in fine form.

This is amazing! It works flawlessly with my 3.7.0. Thanks SO much for sharing!!!
/me installs. |
Now that vb 3.8.x supports threaded discussion - is this mod no longer required?

Social group discussions are not rich discussions like forums. And this mod allows users to create their own forums. It's still very much required by some sites. |
I have this installed, but when I upgraded to VB3.8 the button disappeared, and everything got very messed up...
This group, feks, has more than 10 members (requirement to start a forum) - but see how messed up it is? It is all the way at the bottom, lots of blank spaces. http://www.tettinntil.no/forumet/group.php?groupid=75 What should I do? I will gladly pay you to help me here... please? |
Someone? Please help? Just guide me...
