Ok seems to have found what the bug is :D

It seems that when i did update french commands, i forgot to update the english ban command :/

I'll update the chatbox package in the middle of the week once I'll have checked that all commands are consistent between packages.

A temporarly fix is the following :
1/ Edit the ban command
2/ In the phpcode chat display replace options by userinfo :)

How can I show it in all pages not in FORUMHOME only ?

is there a possibility to give users the ability to disable the display of the chatbox themselves? I'm thinking about a checkbox or something like that in UserCP, so that ppl, who don't wanna see the chatbox, but are in a usergroup, for which chatbox is enabled, may disable the displaying of it.

If that is possible, this really would be great.

If not: Is there a possibility, to "clone" the style and disable chatbox only in that style, so that the users mentioned above are able, to choose that "no-box"-style and by that can deactivate the box?

(Box is set to be only displayer in forumhome)

Any hints are greatly appreciated.

In your admincp go to >MGC Chatbox Evo >Display and position

Here you will find three settings for where you can show the chatbox:

1. Position of the chatbox on the forum home (forumhome)
2. Position of the chatbox in the forums (forumdisplay)
3. Position of the chatbox in the threads

There is also an option to show it on all pages of the forum under the navbar.

There is already an option for users to hide the chatbox in the modify options part of the user cp.

Upgraded to the latest version. But still the same issue...

Then the chatbox has no reason for disappearing.

I've been running this mod for a few weeks now and it seems to be running ok.

I've just checked my cpanel error logs and there's a few errors relating to this mod.

I don't have a /home/<username>/public_html/home/<username>/public_html/forums/clientscript/ folder on my server; it's root/<username>/public_html/forums/clientscript/.

Is there a file or setting where this location is set? So that I can check it out and maybe change it to the proper location?

I've remove the chatbox from my CMPS page and there's no errors now.

Hum, you where having such an error with the chatbox in vba ?

In the global_start plugin of the chatbox, You should remove the condition testing if forumpath is not empty this might come from there.

Firebug shows different errors when I first login usually and also at different times while navigating around my forum. I am on vb 3.6.4 and use vbadvanced. Here is one set of errors reported:

refreshAjax is not defined http://www.mydomain.com/forum/client.../mgc_cb_evo.js Line 253

I get about 10 instances of this error on many occasions.

This is certainly a javascript problem but that could be caused by another javascript bug.

I tried installing this but no chat box came out even though its set as active help please!

I use Firefox 2.0.0.12 and yes I dumped the cache. To repeat the errors all you have to do is go to my forum's homepage, login, wait until the chatbox reloads, then navigate to a couple of other pages on the forum, wait till the chat reloads and poof 10+ errors get reported in firebug. This time I attached a screen shot to better help you out with this.

Awesome addon. But it does not seem to be possible to post a "plus" (+) in the chatbox, it gets filtered out. What is the reason for this and how can I fix it? Posting a "minus" (-) is no problem, but + is not possible.... very strange

How do you make channels? I don't understand the: Name of the channel image and then it tells me I have not made a command: "Command attached to the channel". Is there some readme on how to make channels?

Also, your whole mod is infected with junk mac files that everyone will end up uploading! .DS_Store You need to remove this junk from your Mod zips!

How do you use channels and the commands? Ive uploaded and installed a command. Where can we find some readme or manual for making new channels and using the commands. The supplied stuff has no real instructions for these.

No I haven't had the time to write a readme.

Writing readme for every part of the chatbox can took a lots of time and I am sorry to say that I don't have that kind of time.

About channel creation, what are the exacts steps, configuration you made ?

For the .DS_Store, being the owner of an iMac and iBook, I can hardly remove those files :D

These are files automatically added by apple Mac Os X system (hidden files), I can hardly remove them.

Same as for channels explanation, there is no manual.

However, about commands, once you have installed a command, you can see in the chatbox help (? button) few instructions on how to use the command :)

Some commands works directly through menu items but some must be typed.

Perhaps I will see in an upcoming version if I can make a kinda completion system that would help knowing command syntax when typing a new message.

I uninstalled this but I am getting errors like:

errors only happen after login and initial navigations. once im in and moving around for a while no error seem to get reported.

no i dont have any errors before but i will double check next time they happen.

I have noticed that now that I have installed two commends Announcements and Del when I click the little arrow that opens the little menu... If the menu is opened and the chatbox auto refreshes.... the little menu is closed and I can no longer open it with a mouse click. I have to refresh the entire page F5 to get the little menu to work again.

This is very easy to repeat on my forum. It happens every time without fail. For those who have their chatbox refresh rate set to happen quickly this will cause a nice problem for users. Also, if a user tries to open the little menu and it happens to be just before the refresh the menu is closed and they cant open it again until they refresh the entire forum.

Is this a bug? Sure seems like it.

Also, I don't seem to be able to setup the new message alert feature. I am not sure how it should work...?

Yes the bug about the menu has been reported to me already.

About the alert, when active, it makes the channel buttons blink upon new message in the inactive channels.

It is a normal vBulletin 3.6.8 Patch Level 2 forum.
Language is German and English, but it also does not work if I switch the language to English. If I try to submit a "+" as message, I only get an error message saying "Error: You must enter a chat!" which means that the plus gets filtered out. There are no other "+"-problems in my forum, only in the chatbox.

Is it possible for me to not have the chat show up on the forum pages but put a link in navbar to link it to a separate page?
