Help!
Hey! Seems like a great product/plug-in. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I believe I followed the install.htm instructions verbatim. However, they seem to be a little lacking in detail. I'm not a dummy at all. I can't figure out why the new Vbimagehosting doesn't show up in the ADMINCP. What exactly does this mean?
Here's my site: http://www.camillegerard.com I don't get it? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. :D |
Ok. Please disregard my problem above. I am being somewhat of a bonehead. I figured out it's under "vBulletin Options." I see it in the AdminCP now. Phew.
Anyway, I have a different problem. What exactly does this mean (from the install instructions)?
VB Imagehosting seems to be functioning properly but no user (including admins) can post. Where/and how do I set/alter permissions to allow this? Please be explicit ad my boneheaded-ness seems unusually high today. Here's my error: Quote:
Thanks! |

I'm supposed to see scr06.jpg (below) in there am I not? It's not there. When I do as you suggest under UserGroup Manager, there is no section at all titled "VB Image Hosting Options." Confused. |

and then re import the product XML |
You need to look further down the left pane to one of the vbulletin default sections. There you'll find your UserGroup Manager.
Also make sure you refreshed your AdminCP after importing the XML or you won't see what your screenshot shows until you log out and back in. |

I still have this permissions problem quoted above for all users - can't upload - permission denied. Which permission group am I supposed to be seeing and editing? |
Quote:
and set the permission for each Group .. |
Thanks guys.
I think I must be missing something. Is there supposed to be a separate permissions area for VB Image Hosting? If so I don't see it when, for example, setting the Administrators and Registered Users permissions (see screenshots). |

go to usergroup -> user group permission |

Wow! Ranma you are theMan!!!! Kudos! Thank you so much.
I had missed 1 xml file cpnav_ao_vbimghost.xml > forums/include/xml. That was it! Lighting response. :D :D :D :D |
Ranma2k..
I just upgraded my forum to the new version... i see you've added a new field into the SQL... I have a problem now.. I cant import the old sql back in... Quote:
what can i do with all my old sql data? in other words, how do i get the old sql code to work with new version |
New issue.
What's up with this error? Uploaded file is not an imageI'm trying to upload known .jpg's well below my limits of 3008x2000 and 3MB. 2200x1800 1.8MB files are uploaded with no problem. Does this having something to do with fields of the vmimghost table in MySQL? Should I attempt to adjust them? Thanks. :erm: |
Quote:
if it's a text file with the extension .jpg it won't work . also note that you can't bypass the php.ini file setting so if you set the size limit to 5 mb but in php.ini setting it's set to 2 mb you can only upload 2 mb files |

Ranma2k,
Is there a way to set all usergroups to be allowed to upload images? I have about 50 usergroups and it would be quicker for me to dissallow the 5 or so I don't want to have it rather than manually go through allowing 50. |

Wasn't a text file. These are actual JPG photos. Thanks. |

(debian) strange thing is it still works just perfectly it just throws up those errors for seemingly no reason |
This mod is great and all but one thing I would really like is the ability to toggle the image properties on and off. For example: BB Code URL, BB Code Image and HTML code. I'd like not to display those.
|
This mod worked great untill i tried to use it on another forum.
When rebuilding thumbnails i get the following error: Code:
Warning: getimagesize(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/user/public_html/forums/imagehosting/1461fe104d7168.jpg) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/ishson1:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /admincp/vbimghost.php on line 279 I am also having a problem with the watermark not showing Code:
Warning: getimagesize(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/user/public_html/forums/imagehosting/watermark.png) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/ishson1:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /includes/vbimghost_include.php on line 221 |

Check out vbimghost_imgbits in the VB IMAGE HOSTING Templates find and remove HTML Code:
<tr> <td class="alt1">$vbphrase[vbimghost_imgdlink]</td> |

Love the mod! Works great, but was wondering if there is a mod to show a gallery icon next to peoples names in posts? Thanks again for the great mod!

Code:
Sam, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: |
@Skateboard -
you your admincp > usergroups > usergroup manager > pick which usergroup you want to edit and edit the permissions for the vb image hosting options for each usergroup |
updated without any issues!
thanks for the update! |
Well, now I'm running into an issue, but I'm not sure what it's from.
When trying to upload an image: Code:
Warning: move_uploaded_file(/vbulletin/imagehosting/tmp_85764624db6ab9935) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /vbimghost.php on line 640 Code:
Warning: unlink(/vbulletin/imagehosting/85764624db3ba8dab.jpg) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /vbimghost.php on line 897 Any ideas? |
Quote:
However, if I try and delete an image that was uploaded while having the errors show, I still get the error: Warning: unlink(/vbulletin/imagehosting/85764624db3ba8dab.jpg) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /vbimghost.php on line 897 But I can at least delete images that show up. The images that I tried to upload while I was recieving the error messages just show up as red x's now. How can I remove these? |
Installed.
I had a problem, since my skin's navbar didn't have the vbmenu_control text I was asked to search for. I'll tweak it later. Thanks for the mod. dave Quote:

I don't understand why people don't upload the entire contents of the /forum folder into their forums root as the instructions state. (domain.com/ or domain.com/forums). It would solve a lot of these "I forgot to upload 1 xml" or "I missed a file" because all the files are already in the directory structure they need to be in. If you find that your FTP program fails a lot with entire folder uploads, consider FileZilla, or use your host's webFTP program. :) |
