I have converted this code to work but can not release it as Evercraft has not returned none of my emails asking if I can release his code.

I did not add the event summery for each forum. I left that code out.
Only thing I wanted was forum/calendar integration.

Well, while you wait until you have permission, do you have a place to post up the working version so we can test it and give feedback? There were flaws in the original code that needed fixes.

I can not release it as I do not own the code.

I can tell you there are no bugs a I have stripped it down to just the forum/calendar integration. Its running on my live site as we speak.

damnn it this is the base of my forum !!!!!!!!!!!!! vb 4 is no getting it at all :S

I've dropped the author a note on his site to see what his intentions are and whether he will give permission for the code to be updated by someone else. While I do not have the skills to upgrade the mod for vb 4.0 I can at least do the work to get the permissions for the code to be played around with by someone else.

If any one has any way to contact him or get in touch with him I have this working on my 4.0 site and will release the code on his permission.

As I said I have sent like 3 emails to 3 different email address he has listed on the internet.
The last I can tell he was online is at one of his blogs dec 9, 09.

So soon as he gives me permission this will be in the 4.0 mods category.

Got me on the edge of my seat... this is the only mod i need to complete my 4.0 transition!

I contacted him via his site contact us form and still not had any response, this is a real shame as I personally need this mod for my site, a bit frustrating for us all when no one appears to be responding.

Here is my problem in 3.8.4 pl2. The original event post is not showing up.

I added the SHOWTHREAD template edit as you can see in the left of the screen show below.

working on 3.8.3 so far. I'd like to know of a fix for the bugs though if possible since I won't be upgrading to vB 4.

how can I get this to work with differnt styles within the same forum. Everything works with my main style but if I change the style then thene sign up part of the mod is missing

I don't know how many templates this mod touched and how many php files were involved, but basically you'll need to figure all this out and then replicate it to your other styles if they aren't child styles to your main styles.

Your right this is not a child styles to my main style.

would it makes sense to upload the mod again and attach it to the new style or would this screw things up too much. I do not know the code so I can only do the best I can.

Geez, that's a tough question.

If I was in your position, I'd copy my existing site to a local test system if you don't already have one. One that can be completely sandboxed from the Internet and run on its own. Then I'd try reinstalling it and attach it to the new style and see what happens. It might get rid of data, but it should fix the style issue. If that's the case, you'll be able to cut and paste the template changes to your live site and it should work fine.

Someone feel free to chime in if you see anything wrong with this methodology...it's late...

This mod works perfect in 3.8.X. Farcaster's product does not and had to take it out as the bridge between the two is released in 4.X.

If you're talking about event attendance, there is one specifically for use with event forums. I have it working on my site for over a year now.

I have this installed on my forum and it is the most used mod (by far)! I'm looking to upgrade to VB4 and would love to find something that has the same features :)

I just updated my forum from 3.8 to 4.12 and now this plug in doesn't work...:(

And that's the reason I didn't upgrade to vb4.

I believe there is a vb4-specific version of this now.

But it looks like the modification was pulled even though there is quite a bit of recent conversation on the mod. Good luck. If it's not too late, I'd revert to vb3 and just use a vb4 style if you want a different look.

And just out of curiosity, I checked out IPB and XenForo. IPB does not seem to have this available while XenForo definitely does.

I was looking to upgrade to VB4 and use the Blogs ETC, but this hack gets used LOADS on my forum at present!

I was going to post in the other forum, but I got a no permission error.

So here is what concerns me. I have upgraded to 4.12, and when I activate the this plug in, I get this error above the page:
