You're notified via e-mail to the handle specific in your visionscripts profile. Updates are downloaded the same way as the original file, since updates are contained within the original file.

I should have clarified; I was referring to your commercial version; I know vBulletin would send me an update.

But for the commercial version I bought on your site, do I need to subscribe for updates?

Please read the above part again. vBulletin.org has no connection to the handle you specific at VisionScripts.com. You don't need to subscribe, but make sure to turn on "receive e-mails from administrators" at your visionscripts profile.

This hack is not fully compatible with 3.6.4. Hence the problem.

Any timeframe on when OR whether this great modification will be fully compatible with 3.6.4? :D

Any chance you will get around to updating this hack soon? We are up to vBulletin version 3.6.5 now. This is a nice hack, but it seems like you are taking quite a while to get a new version out there. Waste of a good hack.

I'm having an issue with this mod;
I have the commercial version & my problem is that if a recipient of an invite tries to create an account too late after it has expired, I cannot send them a new invitation (it says that I sent an invite to this e-mail address already), extend the one sent or anything else.

I can't clear a list of e-mail addresses that have expired invites to send new ones; which is a big problem.

For now, I'm manually going into the database & deleting the line in Table invites with that users invite.

How can we resolve this?

You do realize the paid version is compatible, yes? You also realize the free version was/is offered simply as a kind gesture by Psionic?

Just making that distinction clear; the tone of your note implies some sort of... I dunno... entitlement?

I agree; a friendlier front-end to clear out some addresses from the database would be ideal. I sent myself a bunch of invites to my various email addresses to test the hack, and it's a pain right now as I need to either clear them out, or create new email addresses, simply to test.

(Using the commercial version, BTW.)

You can delete the expired invites by installing the latest release - it has a feature that allows you to delete the entries from the front end...

First, thanks for a great hack! We wanted a way to invite folks to join our forum and also set special permissions for those joining via the invite.

I got everything installed, however I am not able to get the folks through the registration process. It seems the link in the email is not getting them where they need to be. The link in the invite email takes them here (example below, not real link):

When at this page, clicking on "Register" simply reloads the page -- you can't get to the registration area. Also, when at this page, most of the images don't render (white box with red x). I am thinking the invite link is taking folks too deep in the forum.

How do I fix it?

I just purchased the commercial version of this hack :) With the help of the instructions link on how to download the ioncube loader on his site, I was able to get everything up and running in about 15 minutes. Woohoo! Thanks for the excellent hack!
