Hi, I've just installed and no error where shown. I have the 4.2 version and copy the files on "vBNavTabs For vB 4.2 ONLY!!!" folder. After installing the product, I edit the NAVBAR template but I cannot see the menu on the left panel.

No new menu is shown on my site.

Make sure your user is set to super administrator in config.php There should be a menu in the left side of the ACP called, DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2

I installed the mod however I see no way to add tabs? I'm using the 4.2 version.

I can see the "DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2" tab in the admin section. Within that I have "General Settings". I see no way to add tabs?

Edit : Uninstall and Re-install twice Including upload of files!

You add tabs via the Navigation Manager that is a part of vB 4.2

Hi, same as wtfaatp . I'm using the 4.2 version. I can see the "DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2" tab in the admin section. Within that I have "General Settings". Can I add a Dropdown Tab?

Thanks

It is a small process but not to difficult.

1) Create a tab.
2) Create a menu for the tab.
3) Edit the tab and the last setting, "Select The Menu To Act As The Dropdown." select the menu you just created, click on save.
4) Add links to the menu you created, these are what will show up as the dropdown items in the tab.

Hi,
I have added a vbnav Tab (plugin). I want it to be visible to all fourum users (even unregistered) but I want the links on to be clickable only to a certain group(users group).

How do I hack this?

thanks:D

@DragonByte Tech

i don't understand why you have released this for 4.2.0
version 4.2.0 already has a built in navigation manager
and their is as add-on that allows 80% maybe more of your pro featues and its all free

the pro features you mention

Add / Edit Tabs
Add / Edit Links
Add / Edit Tabs

with the additional add-on for the navigation manager
it does all 3 of your pro features

That is not possible, and I think it would be rather difficult to do as it would require alot of editing and different types of permissions.

You need to read further:
  • Add / Edit Tabs
    • Ability to set which navbar the item shows in.
    • Ability to set a image to show on the tab.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the tabs.
    • Ability to have notes for the tab, viewable when you edit a tab.
  • Add / Edit Menus
    • Ability to set a image to show on the menu.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the menu.
    • Ability to have notes for the menu, viewable when you edit a menu.
  • Add / Edit Links
    • Ability to set a image to show on the link.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the link.
    • Ability to have notes for the link, viewable when you edit a link.
You can not choose a additional navbar to display tabs, add images to the items, set nofollow to the url's or add notes in the navigation manager by default, with the add on you can. :)
