- Add points for entry into calendar
- Add points for DB entry using custom hack (what is the common hook?)

Is there anyway to identify who has the most points for each activity?

Username: X points for new threads, X points for calendar entries.. etc...

I would like to rewared based on contributions in each activity/section... eg(most posts, most calendar entries etc)

Thx

There is no specific hook where to apply this process to custom hacks because it's a simple query added to a setting related to the hack you want to integrate to... the best thing is to wait a day or two, when more addons are added... you will have the portrait on how to integrate this system to your prefered hack...

for the calendar, i'll have something tomorrow... when i fix the attachments.

and there is no way to track points per activities... this system is not a tracker, but someone can add a tracker inside the process because there is a hook in each process to enable such feature. once a stat-builder or a activity tracker created, i suppose you can make a lot of searches regarding activities... i may bring something about this soon, as i'm finishing a whole search thing actually, maybe i can mimic it to the tracker...

thanks again!

Fyi.

Hmm.. the deducting points for deleting thread was working already but deducting points for deleting replies (posts) still not working.

davis31b 04-02-2007 09:48 PM

is their anyway to exclude certain usergroups or only make this feature active to a specific group?

BTW.. the deleting posts and deducting points option is working fine for me. Thanks for this install!

there is two different process for this one:
1- when admin delete a post - just a post
2- when admin delete a thread - all posts are filtered

... #2 was completely rebuilt this morning, and i think i have the most complete process on this.

...#1... was supposed to work before, i'll check this out.. :)

this is why i have added "hooks" instead each process... someone can write that addon to manage points per usergroups (or per-forum)...

the actual CORE is to bring basic functions we can expand... making too much of features not-everybody would use is not my goal... per usergroups is an example... per-forum is also one of these options we can't always think of when we manage a small or a very large forum...

Gotcha.. so basically its an additional option that someone will have to create. I would be happy with either per forum or per usergroup since that is probably the most important characteristic is attachment viewing permissions by forum/usergroup for my site.

I would be willing to donate to help someone who could do something like this. Thanks.

i'm lost now! hehee

what I did was I use the administrator account to create a thread.. delete it. The points were deducted. Horray!

but I tried using administrator to create a post and delete the post. The points were still there..

so.. now i'm confuse is that.. if the administrator deletes someone else posts, will the points be remove from that someone else? It would be good though because it allow moderator to delete thread and post and at the same time, the thread/post points will be remove from the users.

Updated: using a normal user also did not remove the points when the user delete his own post.

@milsirhc... i suppose that when i edited the "delete thread" process i wrongly set the "delete post"... said, i will check it out in no long...

milsirhc 04-02-2007 10:18 PM

hehe okay..

i hope I don't lose you with all the details. I found another prob. I will summarise my finding one more time kay! bare with me. =)

Post deletion
1) When a single post (not the first thread) is deleted, the points were not deducted.
2) When a thread containing posts get deleted. The replies posters points get deducted correctly but the thread starter points were deducted more than it's original amount. (thread points and post points added together were removed from thread poster)
