The security token was a CRSF (don't remember exactly) but it wasn't chat related. You CAN search through the posts and I know there was a way to fix it.... But it's on your end almost certain.

Crap, that's a CSS styles issues. You'd have to go into the template itself and change things. And my patience with coding this week is at like -20. I guess you could compare the normal skin to the changed one and modify it.

Not sure if 3.1.0 was a public release. But I never had process issues. Are you on a co-hosted box?


That boing sound (annoying, I know) you can change by making your own. You'd have to do a conversion to swf but at this point, there is no multiple sound options. THAT is to be in a future release. ;)

we were talkin in chat the other day and since lots are now using smart phones ... it would be nice if the chat could work with the smart phones ...... and then figure it would be really funny to have a 'Moaning" sounds ....LOL imagine standing in the ck out line chatting ..LMAO

Yeah defo agree with this, i just came from a phpbb forum and my chat box on that worked fine on my android.

So annoying to not be able to see my chat box man :(

FYI, I just checked on my ifail (iPhone) and I can see my chat. I haven't checked on my droid, but more info is needed.

I can state for a FACT it works on IOS 4 and 5.

What version of android OS are you running? What browser? Have you tried "Dolphin Browser" for droid?

See if it's fine in the default template. If it's not, then something else is causing it because on mine the default it is........ But the custom one I had to edit...

As for the sound, make sure you uploaded it and it's in the right theme folder. ;)

In what subdirectory of my used style do I have to copy the sound files?

The sounds files are in \mgc_cb_evo\clientscript\sound in the zip file and that's where they should be on your server. It's only got 2 sounds. So you need to enable them in the admincp.

The sound files are on the server - there must be another issue. The sound is also enabled in the admincp - do you have a further hint for me? I do not use the standard style.....

I must be losing my mind. I have used this mod for many years, now have a fresh vb4.1.9 that I'm trying to install this mod on and I can't get it to display (forumhome or forumdisplay, above or below). I have it activated, set each usergroup permissions, have it activated in my user settings. I've even reuploaded the product and files just to be sure but no luck.

I activated the full page chat to test, and that does work.

Custom style/template you are using that's not inheriting settings from the other?

Nope, it's a fresh vB. Only "customization" I've done so far is install vBSEO. I disabled it just in case but no change. Also setting the chatbox to appear on every page under the navbar worked. Is there still a variable I could throw into the template, or was that only for vB3?

...it is working now - I found the issue at the first page of the mod......changing the path of the sound file:

mgc_cb_evo/clientscript/sound/new_chat.swf

Is there any chance to install it on the vB4 CMS Startpage? I didn't find an instruction in this thread.

I have an issue, when I log in to my forum and it brings me to my forum home, the chat wont load up http://www.gotgr.com i have to click on the FORUM link to reload the same page but with the chat. Any ideas?

I have a member that shows up once in a while but his username is always sticking in the "Users in the Chatbox" even tho he didn't showed up for a few days!!!!
Does anyone ever end up with this situation???

Normally I would try and find the answer myself, but 500 pages is a little bit of reading, so hoping someone can help me...

I believe I installed it correctly, do not believe there is an old version of chat anywhere to be found, and I get this message after enabling the product when I try to load the main forum page...
