Running on vBulletin 4.1.5, don't seem to be able to find any sort of way of controlling permissions as to who can view the chatbox? So I haven't been able to check if it's working at all. Any suggestions?

The chatbox is not showing up in my forum... What do i have to do to make it display? Do i have to enable it for certain usergroups? I am logged in as an admin..

I have imported the English, however in the ACP I still see French (yet when you click on the options it show English). Am I doing something wrong?

Note: I read a lot of these post and a lot of people ask: How do I change "Entrez votre chat" to English:
To do that, go to the ACP, on the 7th MGC (see below picture) pull down it's labeled "Mise en forme des chat". There is an option 5 from the bottom to change it to whatever you want.

However, how do you change the ACP block to English? To text when you open it is in English. Strange...

EDIT: Found that you have to log out and log back into the ACP. Everything working now....

Edit usergroup permissions. You have to edit EACH usergroup bud.

An update for all you anxiously awaiting MGC Chatbox Evo v3.2.0.....

Beta tested it for about an hour yesterday and it's looking good. We are ironing out the bugs that myself and others found so please be patient. It's looking good!

v3.2.x should have that feature. v3.1.x and below don't have this in VB4.x

It's just another chatbox, Ranger. Checking your ego at the login forms would suit you well. Oh...and fix the "boing" notification noise with something less corny. It makes your mod seem amateur. G'head and mix that into the 3.2 release while you're at it.

I didn't have to disable the noise. I added a different sound in .mp3 format and adjusted the js to reference the new sound/file extension. It's much better and doesn't sound like a 5 year old came up with it.

Anyway, I'm done. I've made my point and said my piece (and said what I'm sure several other here were thinking in the process).

Looking forward to 3.2.

Just upgraded to VB 4.1.9 and my chatbox keeps loading, and when I try to type I get "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing." as an error. Ive uninstalled, and reinstalled and still get the error. Not sure what to do now.

As you can see, i did switched the background for my skin style.

Ok Ranger, my problem with the chat is that in the sub-forums section or showthreads, the whole chatbox is set under the tools and newthread button, announcement.

is there a way to rearrange this? I'ved attached a pic for a better idea ;)
