Would it be possible in a future version that if you are in a private chat, your comments would default and stay in the private chat? There have been some embarrassing situations where they user forgot to click the pencil and made a global statement that should have been private.

Also it would be VERY helpful if there were some sort of notification that a user has a new private chat waiting. [Edit: I do see that this is planned!]

The problem with the private chat room is that the users must type in the userid or username in order for the other user to get it.

But this could be of course an improvement, let's say : the user type the message in the canal but forget the /mp => the command is not taken into account at all.

By the way, I am changing the way things work in the new version so this should change :)

so, why become the standard Smileys in the Chatbox.

why does the chat show french even though i load the english?? i've tried to hold off asking this, because i know when someone tell me, i will feel like a numbskull

When you say this is the first smiley, this depends if you got groups or so ;)

So basically the shown smileys are taken in the order of add in the database this is why yuo see the vbulletin default smilies.

If you don't like this, you can activate the random smilies option in the acp so that it gets different smilies every time :)

Hum. If you have uploaded the english xml file thus overwriting the english language file this should be ok.

Any errors while uploading the language file ?

Your problem concerns all the chatbox or is this only few items that get shown in the wrong language ?

Hi all !

I have been able to work on the chatbox during the weekend and I have made good progress.

Just so that you know, the chatbox will be renamed to MGC Chatbox Evolution, thus taking a newer version number he he.

This change of the name is due to the fact that I am remodeling totally the way the chatbox is coded. I will now use object oriented programmation and datamanager.

So as you can see this will be a major release and it takes time.

As of now, I don't have a release date as I know there is a lots of work and this will need time but I am confident on releasing it before the end of the year.

Yes... I know the end of the year might seems far away for some of you but you must understand the work it needs :)

I promise the new release will give you even more fun !!
