Does anyone remember where in chatbox option you turn off the chat that has been typed in the chatbox mines clears out the threads and post and the chats that was talked in it i must of turned something on cause it clears everything like 30 min or something like that and chat is clear and empty!:confused:

This would be near impossible due to all the things like usernames and such it pulls from the local vb database and such. Well not near impossible, but difficult to do.
But the chatbox has no such built-in functionality.

Does this script use a lot server load or resources?

most chatboxes I've encountered end up being resource heavy, and if you're on a shared host you might find your processes getting killed a lot.

Thankfully this chatbox has a lot of internal settings you should use if you're on shared hosting.

For one, any of the optional settings that read (Add 1 query) you probably shouldn't enable. You should also enable automatic inactive mod. You can also load YUI javascript files from the YAHOO servers instead of your own.

I was hoping someone could help me. I currently have this chatbox running on my test forum with no issues. I might add, I am running vb4.14. However when i try and install a fresh copy on my main board which is also 4.14, I get this error. My test board had it prior to upgrade to 4.14 and my main board did not have it.

Can somebody tell me, how can I get the scandinavian (finnish) letters/characters to work? The chatbox does not show them and stops working completely after you try to chat using them.

It's listed in the description, all you gotta do is read:

Upon reading the description. It looks as if only these languages are supported:

1.French
2.English
3.Spanish(Rafael Cazada)
4.Arabic (vborg : alessai)
5.German (vborg: captainslater)
6.Italian (vborg: cionfs)
7.Turkish (vborg: bocek)
8.Russian (butch3r)
9.Bosnian (vborg: benjaminbih)

There is a site here in Finland running this chatbox so that the Finnish characters do work. So there has to be a way to make them work. Also the characters work in the chatroom at the Forum Coding -website.

Some other characters also don't work. Like the character % for example.

I'm running vBulletin 4.1.5.

Word of advice.... Always backup your db / www before any plugin install for the first time, or for any updates. You ALWAYS have a fallback....

In the event you didn't back it up, I'd simply uninstall the chat, make sure the tables dropped and reinstall....

Looks more of a limitation or server restriction...

Goto Diagnostics / Problematic Webserver Modules and see if Mod Security is Yes. If so, that's why.

I am running vBulletin 4.1.4 with a 4.1.4 skin and no issues..

Installed and working great, only issue i have is it shows Entrez Votre Chat instead of Enter chat message, and how do I change the font colours, some message are in a light blue that is barely readable on a white background.

You will find "Entrez Votre Chat" in the Chatbox settings in the admincp. There you can change it to whatever you like.

I check "no" on "Can us the BBCODE (if active)", and it still permits all BBCode. What the heck?

Well i tried everything and can't get it to show on forumhome and also got problem in ACP!
FTP all fils in their respected directories etc etc but end up with no options inthe sidebar tools from ACP and can't see Usergroup Options lolll
Might be too tired or i'm missing something somewhere?!?!

Not quite sure what I did to get it to work...currently going back through all my settings... but its a part of my normal BB Code in my BB Code Manager. All the codes in there appear to work ok.

Ok, I think I read everything before asking - so please help.

As directed, I looked for /clientscript/mgc_cb_evo/sound/new_chat.swf in the designated .js file. I could only find embed src="clientscript/mgc_cb_evo/sound/new_chat.swf" in three places. (Nothing with the opening "/")

So I changed them all to embed src="mgc_cb_evo/clientscript/sound/new_chat.swf" and still no sound.

I then changed them all to "/mgc_cb_evo/clientscript/sound/new_chat.swf" and still no sound.

I found another line with the incorrect path (the two directories swapped) and changed that too. Changed to <img src="mgc_cb_evo/clientscript/cross.png" instead of clientscript/mgc_cb_evo/cross.png --- no sound still.

What am I missing???
