in DragonByte Tech: vBShout (Pro) Version 6.0.4 for my site i can't see umlauts and special characters like äöü i see instead ��

How can i fix this?

Yes, and in my forum is a problem with characters like ąćęłźżnó etc. Any clue how to fix this?

From what I've been able to tell, this is an issue with the forum language's encoding and the database encoding being different. I've not been able to find a consistent pattern so I can't really be more specific than that.

I know that with the database in latin1_swedish_ci and the forum encoding in iso-8859-1, those characters works perfectly :)

After upgrading to the latest version, my shoutbox is simply hanging at "Loading..." I even created a new instance to replace the old one with the same results. :(

Please check Firefox' error console.

Aha, you may be attempting to access your forum via www. when your forum URL is set up to be non-www or vice versa.

When I looked further, these errors are related to google ads, not to the chat system. I may just try an uninstall-reinstall and see if it fixes itself.
