Calling this mod 'supported' has become a bit of a running joke. Several fellow users do try to lend a hand if you run into issues, so long as the answer can't be found in a forum search already.

I really like this ChatBox, very simple, easy to use.

I would however like to set to one background, I have scanned 80 percent of the 122 pages, and probably missed the exact fix but is there a spot to just have one background color? not transparent? Ill continue to search this and thank you!

The mod works for the author and he was kind enough to release it in mod form so others can try it. He has a life and it's a free mod so don't expect him to hang out and answer pages full of questions, most of which are asking to do things the mod wasn't designed to do anyway - like change colors.

There are several chat mods that are more customizable, and those are what people should be looking at if this one doesn't work for you. I just got an email that Addonchat is coming out with a new version soon. I understand they have excellent support - but you'll have to be willing to pay for it. Not a bad concept.

Videx, I don't know if you're an alt for Valter or just a shill, but either way your objectivity is in question. In any event, I simply pointed out that there isn't much support offered here other than what other folks (such as you and I) are willing to provide. Not for 'how do I change colors' or other repetitive items that could be solved with a search, but for real issues. The mod has also not been updated for a year and a half, despite several known problems.

The truth is the mod hasn't been supported in any meaningful way in going on two years. Continuing to have it marked as 'supported' is inaccurate.

TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE THIS ON A BLACK FORUM AND WANT THE TEXT/FONT COLOR WHITE INSTEAD OF BLACK!

Go into the admin > Settings > Options > VSa - Chatbox (settings)

Scroll down to: "allow custom colors?" mark it "NO"

That should be it, your default font color will be what ever your forum's default text color is. You will NOT have custom colors. Good enough for me!

If the writing box is not displaying your text "ie black in black box, or white in white box" do the following:

Where it says "Colors available in drop-down menu" move which ever color you want to the first Color, that will change your typing color to which ever is first on the list.
