Feature Suggestion: Ads within the most intalled mods such as ibProArcade v2.6.5+
Because Im too daft to work out how to add custom adverts :D Regards VinylJunky |
Hi,
I think there is a slight bug (more of a typo actually). When you are setting up a custom adblock the admincp tells you "If you are not using automatic insertion, paste $custom_1_advertisement into the appropriate template." I think this should be $custom1_advertisement (without the first underscore). Cheers, Ian |

Go to the custom section, choose from the dropdown menu at the top how many custom adcode blocks you want, click save, when the page refreshes there will be that many custom advertisements available. They're set up and used in exactly the same way as the rest of the adcode blocks, aside from selecting which template to use them in. But when making template edits, use the $GLOBALS version (bottom of the automatic insertion examples). |

Hi,
I am having trouble with the ajax rotator. I have an iframe adcode from an advertiser. When the ad roatates it is adding a slash to the iframe src url. For example: Code:
<div class="alt2"><iframe src="http://www.domain.com/aff.html" background="#F5F5FF" align="middle" frameborder="0" height="625" scrolling="no" width="125"></iframe></div>|<div class="alt2"><iframe src="http://www.domain.com/aff.html" background="#F5F5FF" align="middle" frameborder="0" height="625" scrolling="no" width="125"></iframe></div> Any way to solve this? Cheers, Ian |
Is that the exact code? It really is domain.com as the URL? Could you tell me the adcode block you're using it with and the block's settings please.

Hi,
That is the exact code (except I am editting out the domain name). I get a 404 message that says exactly: The requested URL /"http://www.domain.com/aff.html" was not found on this server. (FYI in the admincp: The requested URL /admincp/"http://www.domain.com/aff.html" was not found on this server.) This is in a custom adcode block. On the initial pageload it works fine, but when the ajax refreshes the block I get the 404. Cheers, Ian |
Hi,
Some more issues with the ajax refresh. In the header adcode I have: Code:
<td class="search" nowrap="nowrap" style="font-size: 9px"><a href="http://www.domain.com/?aid=domain" target="_blank">Testing</a></td>|<td class="search" nowrap="nowrap" style="font-size: 9px"><a href="http://www.domain.com/?aid=domain" target="_blank">Test</a></td>|<td class="search" nowrap="nowrap" style="font-size: 9px"><a href="http://www.domain.com/?aid=domain" target="_blank">Test 2</a></td> That probably made no sense whatsoever, but that is the best I can explain it. Cheers, Ian |
