My server admin just contacted me about the archives - so I'll be removing them in a few minutes.
Cheers! |

Well, I rent a server and it's managed by a very efficient, sometimes paranoid admin.
Even I don't know what's in those archives, specifically. |

it's someones entire arcade folder tarred up so it contains both the compressed and uncompressed games, totals about 1226 games. |
I wonder if the games will work in the new arcade. ??? I hope they do!

I can't wait for this! I have been reading through this entire post (slow at work today) and got even more excited!! Just one question...where will the download be available? Should I just keep checking here?
BTW Zero YOUR KUNG FOO IS THE BEST :D |
Its nearly depressing how badly people here are disregarding copyrights. :(

Well since there is alot of downloading going on.
Here is a list of games not to use. I'm sure there are others not listed |
Please edit the post and add it as a text file? Others might want to download it for the info. ;)
And ALEX IN DANGER was my boo-boo. :( But it was a hell of a conversion. ;) |
If there is a need for one more tester to convert from ibProArcade v2.5.1 to the new version please drop me a pm, thanks.

As for examples, take a look at one of the pages in this thread. Instead of going on the basis of only installing games that have approval, people go more for the "dont use games that have been banned." Thats basically like saying is fine to steal unless you get caught. What are the odds that a developer will accidently come upon a random forum and find his games stolen? Atleast v3 has taken some responsibility. It would be nice if the general public would follow the same respect. I find it hard to believe that people with 100+ games have permission for all of them. Edit: Wait a tick, going back two pages lists three posts with over 700 examples of stolen software posted publicly on these forums without moderation: Quote:

Back to waking up, have you seen the v3 developments lately? John is implimenting a system for independant developers to sell their own games and isnt allowing anyone on the v3 forums to link to stolen games. Really, they dont need to since they can come to vBulletin.org and get all the stolen games they need. |
I think the site that was charging for games was called something like v3arcadegames.com or something, but was not affiliated with John. Again, I think that's true.

Please do not misuse this Hack-Development-Thread for any Game-Discussions !

just check my signature for any news and links about the final release when it's out :)
|
No panic.
Wait for MrZeropages Release and we will see. :nervous: Don't start here the same mindless discussion before the Release as on v3arcade.com. :ermm: |
It WILL be out by the weekend, if not before. He's just putting the final coat of wax on it and getting it ready now. ;)
