Just give me a week, i'm finishing my paid work at the moment.
|
Code:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="forumdisplay.php?f=$vboptions[gal_cat_id]">Gallery</a> '5. Replace 'x' with the Id of your Gallery-Category.' Now I cant see any 'x' in that code, could you please help me in finding what needs changing because when I click the Gallery button in the Nav Bar I get the following error: Code:
Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator Thanks in advance, to anyone who can help. T |
The Id you need is the ID from the Category you did set up for the gallery.
If you wish to change the phrases, you just have to change all phrases starting with gal_ |

This sounds dum but I can't locate this code in forumdisplay.php. I use vb 3.5.3
PHP Code:

can you give a link to the site?

It may sound crazy, but it depends on the editor, you are using. The normal Windows Notepad isn't be able to find the whole string. As Larry said before: Try to shorten it a bit.
|
yes that worked, thank you

I had to do this at ACP -> Attachments -> Extensions & Sizes I did it for bmp, gif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png She's all working well now though, thanks for a top hack. Fits so smoothly into my theme. My next step is to try and integrate this with the VBForms hack, so that I have one place where people can post a news story to my CMPS and have an attachment come through with it. |

has anyone else noticed very strange behaviour of the radio buttons when you add a new forum?
If I click yes or now for the 'Act as a gallery?' options, it selects the corresponding options for the 'Gallery-Category?'! As a work around, you can just use the left/right arrow keys to make sure the correct option is selected, but even then it scrolls through all four radio buttons as though they are part of the same option-group. |
Oh, this is a bug, a function, which was initaly planed, but not needed any longer. Will be removed with the next version.
|
Thanks, hacks like this make my day!
|
no worries, it seems to work well in IE, just not in Firefox.
btw I'm loving the gallery |
Hi this is an awsome mod but im having a problem trying to get images to display. I get the following error.
http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/7...titled4nw1.jpg No picture shows up |
When i remember right, this is a problem of your attachment-settings. Please check, if you have set the rights to view attachments and if the attachment-system is used.

I've look threw the acp and in normal threads can view attachments no problems. Which sections of the acp in specific should I look through? |
Sorry but um aint this english forums 0.o? mine aint english lol
http://mmoforums.com/forumscreenshots_23/ also when you click the link aint it suppose to show you more? |
This is a great hack, I've installed it on my test forum and it runs fine. However, I have one question/problem:
I'd like for guests to be able to actually see the thumbnails in the gallery-forums (instead of the "you need to register" pic), though not being able to click and see the full size images. Is this currently possible (using permissions)? or would I need to change some code? If the latter, I'd like to suggest it as a feature. I'm sorry if thsi has already been answered, in that case I have missed it in this rather long thread :) |
Just an update: I have been experimenting with all possible forum permissions, but nomatter what I do it seems that guests cannot see the thumbnails on the forumdisplay pages. (I'm on 3.5.4 btw).
Please, does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Everything else works like it's supposed to AFAICT. (though I had to manually edit the phrases, but that's no biggie). I'm of course using the latest install downloaded form here. |
@Magle:
The next update (coming next week) will have this possibility, you were asiking for. Just look at my new site here: http://www.sf-galerie.de I guess this works the way you are supposing it to do, right? |
That's great news! And exactly what I was looking for - that way the thumbnails can work as a "teaser" inciting people to register on the forums.
Thanks for giving us this mod, Harald_T! |
Is this forum what It will look like:
http://www.sf-galerie.de/forumdisplay.php?f=9 |
@Larrysw: No, that's not my gallery. This is the tutorial-section build up with vbgeek.
Or do you need an option to have the gallery look similiar like this? |
I would use that!
|
When is he next update? This is a very kool mod I like it :)
|
I have Coppermine, it's possible to migrate at this gallery?
|
@tuanluu: I've started working on the next update and also thinking of new feature for this hack.
@mosss: Atm there is no possibility for this. |
