Is there a way to make the RPG Stats more compact in postbit template? I tried doing it myself but it never worked. It would be awesome if the RPG information could scroll along the sceen just like the Arcade marquee but maybe at a slow speed.

You can install the User Select Postbit addon, which generates a dropdown for the rpg stats (users can choose their own postbit type).

Hi Revan! I signed up at Digital Toxicity and noticed in PM's, you took out the RPG info under the user profile. I'd like to know how ya did that because the red X that the $rpgclass3 is creating in the PM messages, is driving me crazy. It calls for this path "forums/images/style/classes/.gif"

I have a quick question. I've added hundreds of new items, spells summons etc. Using a lot of ripped sprites from old RPGS. Anyway I've been making my own weaps, but they are way cooler than the rest. Here's a few examples: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ I was wondering if you plan on making a Rare/Unique item system? Also, how hard would it be so that when a player reaches a certain level, the class picture changes? I attached an image to explain my question better. In the pic, the 1st post has a Character that has leveled up and become powerful, the second post, that person has a weak character. |

Well, I already have plenty of quailty Items with either 0 or 1 stock option. I was wondering if you could have some items that would only appear in the item shop every so often. Like a %, Say 1 out of 10 times when you enter the shop a special item will be there. Or like if you've won a certain amount of battles, Unique items will open up for users in the item shop. I suppose I'm looking for more ways to let end user have a more customized, unique character. I'm sure what I'm asking would cause you to make radical time consuming changes to the code. Stuff like that is easier said then done. ;) Thanks for your time! It's appreciated |
i like the hack but the weapons/items etc.. can be a pain. Is there a recommended % for how much money should be earned and how much a item should be depending on its stat increasing?

not sure if this has been asked before but,
back in the vb2 version when u went to the rpgcp it had a little town pic with the little pics of the characters that were online at the time. Mine doesnt do that, is it just me, or is that something u had to leave out?? |

Another idea for v3!
Towns (Controlled in Admincp) - Different towns have different monsters / shops in them :D Ability to buy a town Enchantable weapons (Say, you need to find an item (by either random chance or monster killings) - then use the item to enchant (add stats / abilitys) to the weapons Special hunting areas (to find monsters in) Different monsters controlled through admincp (e.g chance of monster appearing in certain area) Drop files controlled by admincp (specify whether a monster drops a certain item and how often (e.g 1/5 of the kills)) :D |

I assumed it meant All as in all the stats, not including the money... Because money is actually a function of uShop, not RPG system... |
OKay, I'm gonna sound like a giant nerd by asking this, but that's okay ;)
I'm trying to set up a Star Wars based RPG. The only problem is the sprites are based on gender, and not race. This makes it a little funky when someone has their race set as a Wookie, and their class set as a Rebel Soldier -- Because then their sprite is a human. Is there a way to either add genders and just use it as races, or to have the sprites operate off of the races instead? I'm a little stumped. |

Im having a problem where for a few users the PP stays at 0/0, limit stays at 3%, and experience has never moved...this only happens for some users (including myself who is main admin), not all. Soo does anyone know why this is happening or how I could fix it? Take a look at the screen... |
it was doing that to me 2, go in ur usercp to the rpg stats and go all the way down to update stats, and it should fix it.

i'm having a problem with the feature allowing users to have their own itemshops, it doesn't seem to exist :confused:
in the rpg manual for users it says they can have their own shops by clicking a link at the bottom of the itemshop page, but there is no link. in the admin rpg manual it says: Quote:

Hi all,
Im running the RPG as well now. After fixing some of the templates, it runs very smooth now. Great job! Theres one thing I can't figure out though. How can people actually use spells, weapons and potions? The shop is integrated and all, but that part doesn't work. Right now I only have a bunch of monks slapping each other on my forum. It would be great if someone could point me to the direction. Thanks, Farox |

I went to Digital Toxicity to see if I could answer my question by viewing your RPG system, but was getting internal errors everywhere. Any who .. I set up my RPG system to have lots of Catagories. I have Armor, Shields, Gloves, Helmets, Spells, Weapons etc and many more. There seems to be a big problem when people buy one of each armor types. While testing, the most powerful weapon couldn't do any damage to someone with 5 armor types. I'm guessing all the armor buffs add up with each other? Now when you get 2 people with a lot of armor, weaps dont have any effect. The only time damage is done is when the limit reaches 100%. What would you suggest I do? Up the weapon buffs ..which would be bad with those with no armor. Or should I put all armor in the same cat so they can only buy 1 armor type item. Or should I lower/raise rAtk rDef mAtk mDef in the class and race settings. Or do I need to start over and scratch my current system? I have over 1000 items mind you ... ;) |

Thanks for the advice! :) Yeah, I did go a little over board adding items ..but you made this thing so much darn fun!! I guess it will be just trial and error to see if I can balance the system out. BTW, do you have a paypal account so people may donate some money to you if they like? |

I have been wanting to install this fantastic hack for a while now. I have finally got around to doing it but noticed in the req_limitations.txt file that I MUST have uCash and uShop installed. Does that mean that without uCash and uShop installed this hack wont work and generate heaps of errors as decribed in the file?
I don't quite understand sorry! :( |
