An official new release for vB4 would be nice!

absolutely :)

Max Paint 04-27-2010 12:22 PM

btw: is there a way to enable this resizer in vB's new CMS?

peter_trucker 04-28-2010 11:31 AM

Does this save bandwidth?

From the Readme file:

- It does not prevent long loading times. The images have to be downloaded completely by the client before the script can resize them.
Therefore it does not save bandwidth.

Any way we can enable image resizing to only specific forums?

NoVAmike 07-26-2010 04:18 PM

Does this work for vB4?

Joey805 08-06-2010 03:28 AM

Wont validate for XHTML. Will someone fix it so it does?

g00gl3r 09-08-2010 02:25 PM

Is this mod available for VB4?

slobra 09-17-2010 12:20 AM

I have installed v1.2.8. I'm using 3.8.2 and have enabled the option to resize attachments, but it isn't resizing them. I have the vBulletin option to resize attachments turned off. Am I missing something?

SublimeBoa 09-18-2010 11:32 PM

Installed 1.2.8 Works great! Exactly what I was looking for. :up::up:

I have been using this mod for almost a year, and I absolutely love it. Thank you...!!!

I have recently run into a snag with it that I was hoping you might be able to help me with. I am using the lytebox feature on some of my FAQs, but when you close the picture the page jumps to the last YouTube video I have on that page. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

http://caymanregister.org/faq.php?faq=models

Thank you for your help.

Disregard. I found the problem. It was an issue in the javascript when it unhid embedded objects.

Faol 12-21-2010 02:04 AM

I am using 3.7.3 patch 1 and it doesn't resize in the posts either. Anyone know of something that works as advertised? I need to stop these people from putting in oversized images, from outside sources.

SublimeBoa 12-21-2010 09:48 AM

I'm using 3.8.4 right now, but it worked for me on 3.8.3 as well. Sure you got it set up right?

Faol 12-21-2010 01:59 PM

I have had no errors and it keeps the settings that I set just fine. The restrictions that I set seem to only affect the size of the image once you click on it, and it opens in a box. The original inline image will be as large as the original, which is what I was trying to change.

I copied everything into the same file structure on the server, as was represented in the unzipped file. I installed via the product manager like everything else I have done. It is a pretty straight forward install.

heatherw610 01-14-2011 01:53 AM

Love this mod but it REALLY bogs down my site. Any suggestions?

It may not actually be dogging down your site. Which resize method are you using? Have you checked all the 'time settings'?

katie hunter 01-16-2011 01:37 PM

I always had this problem if I use slimbox or one of the fancy options, example if there is an external thumbnail image posted, the slimbox opens the thumbnail image nor redirect the user to the original big image. Is there a way to fix this?

Example: if using slimbox on this image, it won't redirect the user to the original big image, instead it opens the thumbnail small image.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/01/30.jpg

Is there a fix for this?

Gator Bite 01-16-2011 07:38 PM

You have embedded a thumbnail, so it can only open the source, which is a thumbnail. Where is the larger version? How would the resizer know where it is?

The way this works is, you embed the larger version, then the resizer resizes it down to the size specified. When you click it, it provides the original.

katie hunter 01-16-2011 08:05 PM

ya but it works if i use the default setting, when clicking on the thumbnail it redirect the user to the original image. But i use one of the fancy settings: lightbox, slimbox, etc.. it doesn't work.

Here also on vb it should redirect the user to the original image, not redirect to the thumbnail image. That is weird.

haytham 03-21-2011 11:07 AM

I am using 3.8.6 and it stopped working completely esp. for signatures.

dieselpowered 03-25-2011 12:15 AM

Fresh install of 3.8.7 and working fine, except if someone tries to insert an attachment into a post. Regular attachments work fine, but if they insert the attachment in the post, the following error shows:

Code:

rel="Lightbox"?attachmentid=2&thumb=1&d=1301015518" class="thumbnail" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version Name: Vegetables.jpg Views: 0 Size: 74.2 KB ID: 2" style="margin: 2px" />
Any idea how to fix?

Any ideas on this issue?

Help would be greatly appreciated :)

Installed on a 3.7.x version and working fine till now, take as example: http://animalfriends4life.com/forums...hread.php?p=42

M.C. 04-23-2011 10:39 AM

great hack, but!!!

I have old forum and all small thumbs are links to imageshack or similar to see them in full size... change [IMG] over to [imglink] will be pain in ass for millions of images! Why just don't add resize rules to small images (less than min. size) and leave them untouched by hack?

Any ideas how to do it?

Also, for some reason in 3.8.6 Lytebox within "TCattd mode" don't work at all - images just don't post. Had to use "ncode mode" which seems to work OK with all main browsers...

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This for vB4 was one of the reasons I was waiting to upgrade my forums...you've made my day, and it works perfectly! :D

Sum Ting Wong with your install then, it's working perfectly on my 3.8.7

datoneer 08-05-2011 09:08 AM

Ok works fine. But, why doesn't resize images for guests?

tpearl5 09-16-2011 02:14 PM

Has anyone gotten this to work with the CMS?

tpearl5 09-16-2011 02:32 PM

Actually I just figured it out - If you are using the above modified vb4 plugin you can get it working properly in the CMS by adding a plugin to vbcms_article_populate_end (under the tcattd product, if you want)

PHP Code:

//check if STYLEID it excluded or not

if (strstr($vbulletin->options['tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles'],",")) {

$tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles explode(",",$vbulletin->options['tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles']);
        } else {

$tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles = array($vbulletin->options['tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles']);
}
//AND !in_array(STYLEID, $tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles)

if($vbulletin->options['ncode_imageresizer_enabled'] == '1' AND !in_array(STYLEID$tcattd_imgresizer_excludedstyles)) {

$view->pagetext ncode_imageresizer_replace($view->pagetext);
            }

The 4.0 modification no longer compatible with the editor in 4.1.8

tpearl5 12-26-2011 06:53 PM

yep, I've had some problems with 4.1.8 and the 4.x version of this mod too. I'll post here if I find a fix.
