Bloody Brilliant! This kills two birds with one stone - keeps out spammers and people who shouldn't be registering at this type of forum anyway.
Installed easily, no problem. I love this! Thank you!!!: |

Hi All,
First off we've been running this mod for quite some time and it works great, thanks! There is however one problem my users keep pointing out and I finally have some time to try and figure it out: We use a "quick" search option located in the navbar which gives you a pulldown menu with a search box and a go button, however this doesn't show the no spam! question, if you hit go, you do get the "you didn't answer the no spam! question correctly" our advanced search works perfectly. We use vb 3.6.9 pl2, we've implemented the suggested (search) changes from the troubleshooting file but to no avail. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know :) Greetz, Flar |
I don't have that problem because I don't let unregistered users (which would include search engine spiders) use the search feature and I don't require registered members to have to do anything extra to use the search feature.

OK I have a problem, I upgraded from 3.5 to 3.6.8 .. Now no one can register for the site? In the upgrade it totally took the hack out, but left the blank code in there? Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?
I installed the 3.6 version of this hack, but it still gives me tha old Code? Help.. |
This is the message I get when I answer it the correct way.

(even with super-simple questions: 0 spambots in over 18 months) I'm not very active with modding vB anymore, so its a pleasant thing to see this functionality included in the stock code for the coming version. (if not, I would have waited with installing 3.7 until an updated NoSpam! would have been released - did that with 3.6 too) :D |
Works perfectly with 3.6.8 Patch Level 2,
thank you! |
Same here. This was 100% effective on spam registrations on my board. Seriously, 100% Big thumbs up from mistapuggs
|
Finally what I needed, thanks a lot!!!
|
This is a great mod, easy to install and setup. Hopefully this will weed out all excessive amount of spam users that register on my forums.
|
I installed the mod,
then i uninstalled it Now register.php is saying there is a field left unanswered yet my quick register mod works? What did i do wrong lol If i remove $customfields_other it works.. yet then i lose my refer -_- |
Cant get it to work.
I installed it, but when I go to register I dont see the field. I have vBulletin 3.6.0 thanks |
Had NoSpam! 3.5 installed. Upgraded forum to 3.6, deleted NoSpam 3.5 and reinstalled NoSpam 3.6
PROBLEM: When registering you could not answer the NoSpam problem correctly. Why? Because the NoSpam question displayed are questions from the original 3.5 installation! Went in any uninstalled NoSpam. It is not listed as a Plugin/Addon in The CP, BUT I still have a NoSpam question which cannot be answered correctly. Any advise on how to get rid of this??? Thanx |
works fine! thanks.

just installing is not enough; the mod does not include the questions (you have to think them up yourself, which is exactly the thing that makes it unbreakable vs craptcha) |
Installed and it worked for me using 3.6.8! :)
Quick question...will it always show both the NoSpam! question AND the Captcha image? That's what is showing for me and I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss something. Also, when does the 2nd or 3rd questions come into the mix? I hit the 'contact us' link and it took me to the 1st question and also when I tried to register it showed me the 1st question again. So, will the 2nd or 3rd questions only 'show' when they miss the 1st one or something? |
As long as you have CAPTCHA enabled, they'll always show together. Also the questions change randomly.
|
This is great, just Installed.
Thankyou |
not bad, installed... took 4 days before someone hacked it and spammed my board.
but it did cut down on the number of bot signups... just that theres a hole in it somewhere i just dont know where. |
I doubt anyone "hacked" it. A real person can answer most questions, so maybe that is what happened. If you use a math question, those have been known to be broken by bots before. You might find the answer to your problem by reading some of the posts made in the last 4 - 6 months.
Jim |
I've only had two manual spammers since I installed this. It's designed to stop auto sign-ups anyway...
|
yeah, i'm not worried. one or two here or there isnt a big deal to me. It did its job, saving me(my mods) lots of time every day since i installed it.
|
Hello,
m not getting it to work for me. i've custom template installed, mod gets installed successfully, i've enabled it and set two questions, but it is not displaying at all. CAptcha is working fine. |

Does NoSpam! run with vBulletin 3.6.10?
If no, do you plan an update for it? Thomas |
