I uninstalled the hack and reinstalled it and now no names appear. All I get is , , , for users

Sounds like a missing or corrupt template in your style (Display_Visitors_User).

Nope that template is present here are the contents...

Code:

<a rel="nofollow" href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$today[userid]" title="$today[wrdate]">$today[opentag]$today[musername]$today[closetag]</a>$today[markinv]

But after REVERTING the template it now works... LMAO all this time I should have done that as one of the first things to check.. Oh well sorry for bothering you Paul keep up the great work.

I'd like to add my vote to those wishing to have to option to disable per usergroup, rather than enable.
As with Who's Online, I really only want it turned off for guests.
Same for the Guests WVT too.

[high]* PugWD marks Installed.[/high]

I don't recall anyone asking that before (maybe it was a long time ago ...).

Still, it's not hard to do (I added it to at least one of my other mods) so If I get some spare time, and am bored, I'll add it.

PugWD 06-17-2007 03:12 PM

Thank you.
It might have been early on in the thread. I tried to read most of it. :o

I just updated my forums to 3.6.7
and was wondering if there were going to be an update for this fine hack.

I am having a 4-6 second delay on my forum index page when this is turned on.
I curently have this turned off the delay was driving me nuts, lol

I do have about 1300 members who visit in a day.

thanks again

I updated from 3.6.4 to 3.6.7 and the hack is still working for me. Which version did you upgrade from?

djbaxter 06-19-2007 01:10 PM

Maybe it's 3.67, not this add-on. Have you seen this?

vBulletin 3.67x - Pages lag after loading?

I won't make any noticeable difference to your load, unless your server is seriously overloaded, in which case this mod would be the least of your problems.

It shows the number in the header just above the names.

asasi 06-23-2007 07:18 PM

A problem with right-to-left orientation, I'd guess.

asasi 06-23-2007 07:30 PM

may its problem in translating phrases?
I installed again and problem still not solved

Paul M 06-23-2007 09:56 PM

Yep, I would say that's an error in the translated phrase, it's probably missing the '{1}' which indicates where the number should be displayed.

dinodonk 06-26-2007 02:06 AM

can i put in member profile this info :

Visit : xxx

where xxx is total days he visited forum.

ShackMaster 06-30-2007 03:38 PM

We believe we have a relatively minor issue with this fine product. One of our members username is <^..^>Smokey Joe ... when his username is clicked from within the Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours:, it takes us to another member whose username is Smokey Joe without the <^..^>. <^..^>Smokey Joe just joined and hasn't actually posted for us to test his username from within the postbit, but from our Member List, it takes us to the correct profile, therefore I'm assuming it might be a bug within this product that is not recognizing symbols in usernames.

Paul M 06-30-2007 09:12 PM

The link from the username to users profile is based on userid, not username, so I don't see how that would be possible.

Hi all i want to display the "number" of users online and the "number of guests" also on my front page.

I have this line on my custom page, which shows the user who has just logged in.

echo $vbulletin->userinfo['username'];

I would like to do the same and connect my mainpage to the stats to show how many users are online. If anybody can help me please.. thanks!

What exactly does this question have to do with this modification ?

If you would be so kind and maybe tell me what the variable is? like my e.g above

PHP Code:

echo $vbulletin->userinfo['username'];

which display's the user name, similarly.. could you tell me the variable or string i could use similar to the e.g ive given above where i can use to show "how many users are online" and have visited in the past 24 hours. Im just after the "number" not the usernames themselves. I have this hack installed just need that little string for my mainpage, if would be so kind to help me maybe. :o

Thankyou

njoker555 07-06-2007 03:17 AM

If you'd simply asked this then I could have answered you. I believe its $ftotaltoday.

Hi Paul... it's definitely possible, although I'm not sure how. Not sure when you'll see this, but if you go to our forum right now... http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/ you will see that <^..^>Smokey Joe is listed first in the Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours: section. Just click on his username and you'll see that it takes you to the member Smokey Joe without the <^..^>. If there is nothing you can do about it, we can live with it, but on our forum it is a bug. You might try registering two similar users on a forum of yours with this plugin installed and see if it does still does it.

Thanks!

Paul M 07-07-2007 12:34 AM

You don't appear to have this enabled for guests ...........

Anyway, I can see what your problem is - you are using VBSEO to rewrite the urls and it's failing to convert them properly, it's stripping the <^..^>. from the name so the link for <^..^>Smokey Joe is being converted to /members/Smokey-Joe.html. You need to contact vbseo about the problem - you can workaround it by changing your vbseo settings to use /members/[user_id].html rather than /members/[user_name].html

ShackMaster 07-07-2007 04:07 AM

Yeah... this is a benefit of membership.

I see what you are saying about the rewrite... I didn't catch that, and surely it can be fixed.

Well you would need to ask vbseo about that, since their code is encrypted there is nothing I can do (allthough I have posted them a link to this thread).

AuroraStorm 07-07-2007 01:35 PM

I have a question and maybe you answered it in this thread but it's 48 pages deep and my eyes started to hurt but I'm trying to have it set up to where you can see the people who have posted today and the people who have posted or viewed in the last 24 hours. There's the options for the "rolling 24 hour option" and "auto template changes: who visited today." For some reason I can't seem to have both on the page at the same time; it's either the today's visitors or the 24 hour option. I've seen this on other boards but I don't know how to set it up. Is this 2 different hacks or am I setting it up wrong?

This mod is "who has visited", if you also want to display who has posted then that is a seperate mod.
