It says that the e-mail address is not valid.
|
the email address is valid. I just put the xxx there cuz I didn't want to make it public.
But I tested 3 email accounts and they all come back to me. If the emails are valid what are other possbile problems? Thanks, Carmen |
I just sent an invite to this email address
Carmen (behindtherank@yahoo.com) which is valid, i've it for a year. But I get the email sent back to me with that error. This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: behindtherank@yahoo.com forged from header: "Carmen @ The Official Website For HMW & G" <k4linar@hotmail.com> ------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------ Hi, Carmen! You have been invited by Carmen to register on "The Official Website For HMW & G". Your registration link: http://www.hispanicmilitarywives.com...2667a13ee47b36 We hope to see you soon! Best Regards, The Official Website For HMW & G Team Any other ideas? This must not work with 3.6.4 vbulletin. |
I called my Host and they said something about the invite being scripted to only allow emails from the site email address. The From needs to be changed or something... I"m so confused ....
How has everyone else got this to work with 3.6.4? Your help is appreciated.. Caremn |

I've had this idea for a while & wanted to share it; I'd LOVE to see someone code this:
We have 'hidden' forums reserved for members of a specific secondary user group. However, to get them assigned to that group, I have a list of instructions I send them. 1) Register 2) Click 'Contact Us' & request for permissions promotion 3) Wait to be approved. My Proposed Modification to solve this: It would be neat to have a special field on the registration form called 'Invitation Code' or something like that, which, when entered, will automatically join that new user to that secondary private user group. Alternatively, being able to send a special 'invitation link' which will automatically have that field filled in would be nice. Obviously I'd want to be able to make multiple invitation codes which corespond to multiple user groups. This concept is kind of like a Coupon Code in a shopping cart; you enter a predefined code & automatically receive a discount; no need for manual approval. p.s. - the secondary user groups I am referring to here are NOT joinable. They are for BETA testing software & only selected BETA members get invited. If anyone has any input on this idea, please reply to this thread. I'd love to see it. |
yes it would be great

Being a commercial version, I assume this isn't free. How much is it? |

Got it; sounds like a nice buy; I'll give it a try.
Before buying, do you have a document you can give me outlining the differences in the free Invites you made vs. the Commercial (only if you happen to have one)? Just curious as to what to expect. |
Does it work with 3.6.x?

That's just some of the feature differences. If you wish, please - feel free to register at visionscripts.com and try out the online demo of the front-end. Quote:

Sounds nice; two more quick questions: 1) Is there a way to 'mass-refill' all member's invitations by a set number? Or, possibly give 20% more invites across the board based on registration volume? I obviously wouldn't want to handpick & manually adjust for random members by hand. 2) Is it easy to 'upgrade' from your free Invites mod to the commercial one? Should I uninstall this one first? Will the db changes have issues when installing the commercial version b/c of changes the free one may have already made? |

How are your customers notified of product updates? Do I need to subscribe somewhere? Is the download process of updates simple? From the customer area? I want to make sure I'm notified once the Allocation feature is fixed. |
