Cht room was working fine but I decided to reinstall everything to do the new Whos Chatting info....Now all I get is a grey screen then after a few seconds I get a message 'Applet Halted: This Chat Room Is Closed'

Any Idea?

I added the phrases, added templates and have no idea.

ps - are the last two templates supposed to just say <!--Generate-->?

Yes, the last two are just supposed to say generate.

Regarding the chat room closing, my suggestion would be to double-check your chat_global file and make sure your server info and id are typed in correctly.

Yes, they are supposed to say <!--Generate--> -- These templates are overridden when the who's chatting starts working.

It sounds like your chat room ID may not have been specified correctly, or it could be your server. Make sure when you enter your id in chat_global.php that it is just the number only (do not include a preceeding SC-) and that your server is either client0.sigmachat.com or client1.sigmachat.com (look at your chat room link code in the control panel to determine which is yours) :)

If I go to the sigmachat_wc_embedne templatedirectly (i set it up through a .php for testing) it works great...however when I use the $template command in the forum home it does not pull up the template...I have checked the index.php file and I have adjusted that to what your Whos Chatting instructions say..can you think of any reason whey this doesnt work in the forum home but does work directly?

This will show the people in the chat room - but by adding the $template command on the forum home it doesnt come up.

With this the names list will work if I use a a .php (for testing) to go directly to the WC_List template - but if you go to the sigmachat_wc_embedne template that also will not call up $template[sigmachat_wc_list]

I have no idea why.

I download the package. I Installed it, all seems to work at the moment. I see the image for clicking on quicklinks, and seeing who's chatting, but I have not found the instructions to install this feature.

I currently have it installed in such a way that it appears in the what's going on block.

Would anyone be so kind as to to point me the direction so I can add who's chatting to the quicks links drop down?

Great Hack, I have already had a suggestion from a user. Can we have an option to invite someone to Chat? For example send a PM from their username drop down or something similar?

Open your chat_globle.php in a text editor and adjust the setting for which usergroups can access the chat.

The array number(s) are your usergroup ID:#'s permitted access to live chat.

Yes, the instiallation readme dosen't have the full template for sigmachat_wc_list and sigmachat_wc_embedne. All it has for those two is "<!-- Generate -->".
