Okay, fixed the issue. I had the correct perms set in the usergroups options but not the vBShout usergroup options, if you follow.

And you added the template name you created to the relevant setting also?
For some reason vBACMPS documentation said "if you created template adv_shoutbox you should put shoutbox in the template name" or something to that effect, which in my experience is incorrect - you'll need to put the full template name in there.

That being said, I don't believe I know of anyone who actually runs vB3.8 with vBA and vBS on it, so it may not work at all...
You could try asking at the vBACMPS forums, if this doesn't work?

I wouldn't know how to make it work without them telling me what I'd need to do to support it either, and I sadly don't have the time to research it myself :(

I'll give the vba forums a go , but not sure if Im doing anything wrong as Ive pretty much replicated what I did for get the infernoshout lite shoutbox working.. i will see what I can find out.

found

http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/show...light=shoutbox

and

http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/show...light=shoutbox

on vba forums quite quickly - though they seem to be mixing template names and module names and instance terms ? seems a mess to me and if I follow those instructions it just does not work

You should ask them for clarifications / updates :)

We don't have a vBACMPS installation to test it on :(

I must say, it is a good shoutbox, but i'm having 2 points that maybee can changed (i can't find it).

1. The input textbox on the left site, is it possible to get it under the shout in complete width en 2 lines high?

2. After the input textbox is replaced, should the shout itself can go 100% width?

Sorry for my bad English typing, it has been a while that i used it.

Curious for your answer, but i don't understand is that no-one asked for it before.

Beneath the shout is a Pro feature, currently there's no specific setting for the height but you would be able to edit the templates to achieve this.

It will indeed.

Thank you for yoyr answer, but i thought it's possible to edit a template instead of getting the PRO version.
Don't get me wrong, i think it is a very good idea to work this way, but the costs for a pro version are too high for a hobby i think.
I'll keep on searching, thank you.

We're obviously not going to tell you how to edit the templates to try to replicate a Pro feature, sorry :p
