yes there is a setting for that in the settings menu.
the author also says so:

You can set which usergroups are allowed to use the feature via the ACP.

Yes, I know, but how do you see if they do?

All you do is click on a usergroup and click Save, but there's no indicator or list showing the usergroups that have the abilities to edit it or not.

I'd prefer check boxes.

true. but you can see it from those who are selected in the list

Another question, then.

Let's say I start creating a thread at 8:39 PM, and I finish it and post it at 8:48 PM. The time the thread was created would be 8:48 PM.

With this modification enabled, though, because you have the option to enter a date and time, it stays on the date and time it was when you first created the thread. So, if the above scenario happened with this enabled, the thread's creation time would be 8:39 PM (incorrect) instead of 8:48 PM (correct).

Is it possible to make it or add a feature so it either doesn't appear when creating new threads and only when editing posts or make the time in the box update in real time? For example, if it's 8:31 PM and then 8:32 PM, make the time in the box change to 8:32 PM (or 20:32 since the modification has military time format).

you may just remove the entries for the hooks newthread_form_complete and newthread_post_start

Can you elaborate?

Go to admincp, Plugins&addons, manage Plugins and uncheck as required to disable.

Thanks.

Wouldn't I also disable newpost_complete, newpost_process, newreply_form_complete, newreply_form_start and just leave the "edit" ones enabled since I only want to be able to change the author and date and time when editing, not when creating?
