you should convert this so simply entering a steamID is sufficient.

steam users don't have to make a profile ID to get their pages to work on steam. so, this mod should be able to simply bring up the card based on the STEAM ID, and not the community profile ID (which most people have no idea or care to get).

gameme, formerly hlstatsX, is able to link people's profile pages just from pulling their steamID out of the game logs. shoudln't be difficult to change this mod to do the same (generate gamercard info based just on the actual steamID)

You are right about the STEAM ID but like I said before, the problem is that the STEAM don't have any official gamercard and none of these unofficial gamercard generators support STEAM ID!
The only way to use actual STEAM ID is to generate the gamercard directly form the profile XML which it needs separate modding and isn't a simple code change.

Could you update this to run both USA PSN and the EUROPE PSN because my board is worldwide and atm its being selective.

it would also be nice if you could add the ability for users to customize their own gamercard links/add links.

for example, we have gamers who play a great deal of BF2, or BC2, or 2142, and we had profile links like these that would go directly to the players stat page, so long as they put their BF player name/ID in their profile, just like this. except of course that these won't make AJAX or whatever popup cards when clicked on, but rather open a new window and go directly to their stats page.

essentially, you'd need to add the name, pre and post syntax for the creation of the link, and a link to the image that would represent the icon in their profile/posts.

Then.....there's no limit to how many games people can link to their profile, other than what the board admins want to set up. Previously, we had direct links to people's steam profiles, hlstatsX stats by steamID on our teamplayergaming.gameme.com page, BF2, 2142, BC2, etc. Used to have gamer links to our custom CoD4 and WaW pages. Then we can also create links to players gametracker.com profiles (like you have for xfire), steam community, etc.

Again, I'm not asking that you add all these. I'm asking that you perhaps add the functionality to add custom links, where the board admin would provide the link's details (pre and post url text), description, icon, and specify what happens when it's clicked on.

Currently, the profile fields only show up on people's profiles. That's lame. Gamers want to see what other games play in the posts itself. It's faster, and mroe efficient.

Anyone have gamercards stop displaying in the postbit after the 4.0.4 update? I can still see the gamercards in user profiles but they're no longer showing in postbit.

Tried reinstalling with overwrite to no avail.

If someone had a little time you could have it so your hosting your own steam card building cache

It's a script that does the same thing as the SteamCard does except you can host it on your website instead!

I know there are a lot more scripts out there and from I read you can modify that script to show more information as well...
