Paul,

This will not work when using the Time Greeting (Good Morning,etc..) mod (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=178745).

Paul M 05-29-2008 10:53 AM

Correct, that mod overwrites the welcome_x_link_y phrase.

Note: The unread posts portion of this hack only works if you use the database thread marking system, also, this attaches itself to certain phrases in the "welcome" box and will not work if they are not present (or are modified by other code).
JFYI, If you altered the plugin execution order on the two mods you might still be able to get it to work.

It is truly sad to see no more development on this mod it was and still is a great mod.

How do you do that?

Thanks for the update Paul but since installing this new version I find that it doesn't work when using this hack, yet did so fine before this new release version, sorry..:(

Paul M 05-30-2008 12:21 AM

I take it that by new version you mean the 3.7 version because this could never have worked with that mod installed - the reason being that Boofo appears to completely remove the welcome_x_link_y phrase from the navbar.

Edit: Actually, there is a post on how to modify one of my plugins here ;
