vB 4.1.4 includes some style changes which makes ChatBox use doc_background as message background color.

If you want your CB look like in previous versions go to your style variable editor and change Blockrow Background to the same as Blockfoot Background, or use other color you like.

Can?t get the date and time to show at all! Tried differnt time formats :(

Running Swedish language pack and 4.1.4 (had same issue with older vB)

What's your time/date settings in Language Manager > your language "Edit Settings"?

Valter and others. Found it. (%) does the trick!

Time format
%H:%M:%S

Date format (blank to disable)
%d-%m

Updated to 4.1.4 and the chat area of the mod is not transparent. How can i fix this?

Thanks

I can confirm since upgrading to 4.1.4 the chatbox now looks odd. It would seem the chatbox chat area background is now the same as the forum background.

I wonder if people will find the solution if we post it twice a day? :)

Hi,

Great stuff :) I was just wondering if there is still a way to add notes under the chatbox, as it was possible with vB3.8 version of this mod ?

Thank you, and sorry if the solution has already been given, as I didn't find it :o

Here's what I did:
  • Install VSa - Chatbox if you haven't already
  • Download vbaCMS from http://www.vbadvanced.com/
  • Install vbaCMS
  • Disable vBulletin's built-in CMS, if you're using it (CP - Plugins & Products - Plugin Manager, uncheck everything under "Product : vBulletin CMS")
  • Create new vbaCMS module
  • CP - vBa CMPS - add a new module (type = template)
  • Title "Chatbox" (or whatever, doesn't matter)
  • Active - yes
  • Template to Include: adv_portal_vsa_chatbox
  • Style: whichever you're using
  • Template Content: {vb:raw vsachatbox}
  • Use Module Wrapper Template: no
  • Set your usergroup permissions to taste
  • Save your module
  • Edit chatbox settings (CP - Settings - Options - VSa - ChatBox)
  • Show ChatBox on pages: index,adv_index
  • Show ChatBox in templates: FORUMHOME,adv_portal
  • Save Chatbox settings
  • Activate module on vbaCMS portal
  • CP - vBa CMPS - Edit Pages - (whatever you've named your portal page)
  • Drag your module to where you want it to display in your page in the "Active Modules" section
  • Set your usergroup permissions to taste
  • Not related to Chatbox, but you might want to tick off the "Add Navbar Link" option to keep your navbar consistent
  • Save, take a deep breath, and enjoy!

Setting it up this way makes it active in your vbaCMS portal page and your forum home page. If you don't want it on the forum home page, take out the 'index' option for 'show on pages' in the chatbox settings.

Thank you for this. But after doing all the steps, i see nothing on my vBadvanced homepage. I have vB 4.1.3 and latest vBadvanced. For me, vBa is in /index.php and not inside the /forum. Is that the issue? How can i fix this? Thanks!

I've noticed if i select Below navar or above footer the Chatbox will be displayed. But unfortunatelly, it's not displayed inside the module i've created using the steps above...
