What if I were to port this and update it without owner's confirmation?

You would breach the license it was provided to you with and be guilty of copyright violation.

Andreas (vBulletin-Germany.org Staff) - is that not the creator?

No, he is the one who did the last "port".

I know it's just my opinion but I think it's selfish for somebody to not at least pass on the torch so-to-speak when they abandon a mod that they know a lot of people use. If they aren't going to support it - at least let somebody else.

As Andrew stated, that would be a breach... but there is nothing wrong with writing one from scratch. It would be a hit!

I am a 'C' programmer, well, haven't programmed anything for quite some time... so I am sure I could pick up php rather fast for coding... but I just don't know where to start with vb. Otherwise, I'd dive into it....

You might want to consider the Casino Sports Bet program on the 3.6.x MODs... it isn't as elaborate as vbookie... but it is in its beginning stages. Hopefully lots of updates to the next version.

This might seem a stupid question but what file do you upload the files in the upload folder too? is is just the root folder for your forum?
