I asked vBulletin about what happens if you change the "true" to "false" in index.php and I got this response:

However I tested changing it to false and I saw no difference in the function of the navigation manager.

I'm Not sure of the % of people that the htaccess is not working for.
But seems to me somethings not right that it will not work for you 2 guys.
I have applied this to many sites I manage with out one issue.
Never changed anything in the index.php
and all works..
This is the whole Idea with the rewrite / htaccess
not to have to edit vb's files when updating..
some people do not update on every release so they forget what was edited.

Look back on these threads .
" I updated and my arcade no longer saves score"
they forgot about the index edit ..

Basically it's doing the same thing I did but instead of changing it to false they say to comment that line out.

Anyone else getting a blank page when saving score with 2.7.2+ and VB 4.2.0PL2?

I have no errors come up on my screen, just a blank page after the game ends and redirects to post the score.

Yup just noticed this the now, i had the scores done the .htaccess way but soon as i removed it and added it to index.php file everything was ok.

For some reason in the score comments when you type "or" it completely removes it

You can see how it removes "or" from "for", "more", "score", and etc.
It does it everytime.

I was just wondering if it was possible to add a category 'breadcrumb' link on a game page? For instance, I have a category called 'Mahjongg', and after playing, or while still on the page, I'd like to be able to get back to the Mahjongg category without having to first visit the arcade homepage. Is this doable?

add the ARCADE template I posted
you can find the link to it in my sig
over write it and save on all your styles
even if all seems ok.. that code is old and has never been changed since vb3

change the ARCADE template but the problem persists :/

Open your skin folder in both skin files open them up with your editor. Search for tcat
change them all to blockhead save and upload, over writing the other ones.

Change some TCAT by blockhead but I broke other parts of the skin elsewhere.

Is there any way to change the fluid to fixed more simple?

Is this fully compatible with vBulletin 4.2? I just upgraded from 3.8 to 4.2. I then upgraded to this newest version of the arcade. It works fine for playing the games, but the scores won't post. So the players are disappointed and I want to fix that. Any suggestions? Thanks.

change #000 to your desired color
also I forgot what this changes
same if needed change the color code here

ok so I looked in the admincp and went to the following...

Styles and templates > style manager >
selected from the drop down menu in the 'Main CSS'

I then see this message
This CSS file is obsolete and is available here for reference purposes only.


So maybe im looking in the wrong place. Can someone give me a little more info, as I said im a noob, so some noob friendly instructions would be great.

There is no patch- the version available to download is fixed- you need to use it.

go into your style then navagate down to css templates
open it then youll find the reset-fonts.css

I have a question, the code for postbit is:

As I can change it, so that in the url select a particular style?

For example:

I had the same problem, I went through and change a lot of things trying to achieve that.
In the end I did this....

modify the arcade.css
look for...
.alt1, .alt1Active
and change the 2 text colours to visible colours

modify the reset-fonts.css
look for...
legend{color:#000;}
change the value to FFF for white text.


I am new to VB and have no clue about much to be honest, but I did this, and it worked.
Maybe someone can advise you better though.

I seem to be having an issue with the postbit modifications in the install instructions.
after adding the template modifications this is what I am seeing, on all styles not just the one in the image.
