It might be because your not signed in and if you are really worried about the look to new possible members, you could always make it so the chatbox is only viewable by registered members.

thats what i have done, though i had to manually place it in the template and manually hide it from guests, so if a member logs out on a different window the page doesn't go hay-wire.. but the issue remains i would like guests to view the chatbox, we dont have much members and i want to show every spec of activity...

please fix this bug, i have seen it on many sites and have had many complaints from members, i dont want to deter anybody from the site, and i dont want to limit guest viewing...

Here is the product with the updated coding to find the correct smile's and new and old post png's instead of gif's.

If you want to look at it really quick and upload it it might cut down on the people asking how to fix the issue.

Does anyone know how to change the text colour for the date/time in the chatbox? Been trying to find this for ages in StyleVars, and it's not blockrow_color either. Would appreciate the help!

one suggestion :

users with less than "x" posts cant use chatbox but can see..if we allow guests to view and users <"x" posts not to view , then it's not showing chatbox to guests also..
so better keep second option like user with less than "x" posts can view but not use it.

How do i resolve my problem, messages are getting dis-arranged, later comes first and first comes later :( Please suggest

One of the options allows you to reverse the messages and put the newest at the bottom.

FWIW, usually a slower shoutbox puts the newest messages at the top, a busy chatbox at the bottom.

If you install the product I attached and click overwrite it should fix all the image problems.
