You need to build a new language file for the datagrid. Get any file from microclassifieds/datagrid/languages and rename it. eg dk. When you finishe, upload it and then goto General Settings and set Grid Language: dk

You must edit the follow part of the function time_duration at microclassifieds/includes/
ATTENTION: The words that you'll use must have the first letter UNIQUE. "M" and "m" is ok, but "m" and "m" will cause problems.

Can't be changed. So remove "F" from the data long format at General settings.

Plugins Manager (Just below of Product Manager). In the section for microCLASSIFIEDS (right side), you'll see 2 with the name Location (I forgot to change the name for the 2nd). Choose the one in the hook "member_complete". Around 15th line you'll see: $blockinfo['title'] = "Classifieds";

i just installed Mary's Classifieds 5.1.3 and i am able to see the classifieds link but when i click it gives me the following message even for admin

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Can you help please ?

as stated before. goto the usergroups for including the admin and set the permissions. they are all off by default

Yes Mike, I realize that, and will be configuring things as you have.

But still, I have people viewing the ads, that are not logged in (or registered). And if they become interested in posting or bidding, they will see and click on "Please Login or Register to be able to Post and Bid in our Classifieds."

And as in your site, if they do that they are not taken to the Log In/Register page, but to whatever page they have designated as the landing page for their VB installation - it could be their Blog Page, Front Page, or whatever. Is there some reason they are not directed to the log in/register page? It doesn't seem like a terribly difficult fix. Is there anywhere I can change that link target?

I think it may be time to place this in the installation directions. I got caught on this myself. It is not known to people new to mod installs.

the easiest way to find the id for marquee is to goto the product page and look at the URL it says itemid=xxx that is the number

i saw a setting for the price being greater to 0 i will have to find it again

in order for premium to work correctly the seller has to be set to a premium seller before the ad is posted once the ad is posted you being the admin can edit the item and check the box at bottom for premium ad than it should so up

I placed that in the field for the marquee and received a database error when trying to access the Classifieds again.

Sorry - I have it now. I had entered 1 and 2 as a test and got nothing. But if I enter just the number like 10, it does work now. I guess ad #1 and #2 must have been deleted.

Sorry, I give up. I have the priority for the usergroup set at "1" and the ads have the box checked for premium. And the premium ads show up on the pages when I click an individual ad. But I have none on the First/Opening Page.

I believe I had this problem with the older version as well.

Premium ads are showing, just not on the first page.

I just went through and certified everyone with ads individually now as well. And still nothing on the first page.

I tried editing an ad and removing the premium check, in order to re-apply it - and see if that made a difference. But when I remove it and approve, it is still there upon returning. I don't think the premium check box works when editing.

But at any rate, why are premium ads showing on every page but the first page?

Care to share? What did you change and how? Is that change necessary individually for every old ad? Or does the change enable all Premiums to appear on the First Page properly. Or does the change allow new ads to show on first page Premiums going forward. I'm still confused. What is different about the first page when it comes to Premiums. If I wish to add and remove users and premiums, will I need to edit the database?


This is the last layout issue I need to solve before I can then send out an email blast to all users alerting them to the new feature. But with no premiums appearing on the first page, it is a little incomplete.

Well, I guess I'm beating this into the ground. But I am having difficulty understanding. If they are already appearing on the Category Pages, and on the Individual Ad Pages, then it would appear to me they are already designated as Premium Ads - just not showing on Page 1. Possibly a conflict with the Marquee?????

Though i would come back and add, i was just editing a for sale ad as an admin and the problem i found is that when editing you cant select a category and the add goes to no mans land.

I tried to confirm this as I have various test ads up trying to sort out another problem. In general, I have been having problems with editing ads.

I wasn't able to duplicate your result, but instead the ad stayed were it was on the main page, but in reality it was moved to the category I moved it to. And yes I cleared the cache.

But my biggest issue remains the Premium ads. And not able to change the setting. The check box will change when I click on it, but it will not save the setting. Not even for me as admin and a certified/premium profile.

This mod is the best thing since sliced bread but I think that there is a critical thing missing before it can be used on a public board.

We need the ability for user's to be able to pay to post premium ads. I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the current functionality of having free premium ads. Wouldn't everyone want premium ads?

Also can you tell me which templates I need to edit in order to place a box containing the controls form the usercp in the sidebar? I think quick access to classified controls is an absolute must since many of my users only use my board for selling.

what i did was create another usergroup and add premium users into that category that paid extra for premium service (ability to add more ads than normal user and premium listings)
you can setup paid subscriptions to do this automatically if you want
