Hmm... try deleting the files this modification tells you to upload in the first place. You might also try first deleting your browser history and cookies (or just reload using Ctrl + F5). Maybe it's all in cache?

This mod does not add any stats in the location you mention :)

Clearing cache worked. The mod disappeared in the CMS.
Thanks for your fast replies!!!

Hi,

Can't seem to get this mod working. Whenever we click thank or like it just displays 'Not Found' - also, is it possible to have this within the main post table rather than in a new one on its own (ie up next to Edit post etc)

Cheers,
Martyn

That error means that thanks.php wasn't found in your main forum folder. Please ensure you have uploaded the files to their correct locations by dragging and dropping the contents of the upload folder into the folder where your main forum files (like showgroups.php etc) reside :)

Martyn1983 05-13-2011 06:19 PM

My bad - what can I say, it's been a long day!

As for the second point, any way to put the bottons in the main post and have the window open below with the likes/thanks text) EG on here, to the right of your sig theres the quote/edit buttons - somewhere like there, with a new box opening underneath with the thanks/likes info?

DragonByte Tech 05-13-2011 06:27 PM

We plan to improve upon the layout options in the future, though it's more than likely that the majority of customisation options will be available in the Pro version :)

- Advanced Post Thanks / Like v1.1.6:
Feature: Added option for guests to not see the APTL bar
Change: Performance updates

mrscot 05-13-2011 07:22 PM

I downloaded today's latest version and I'm still seeing the "Internal Server Error" message whenever I click on one of the "Thank, Like, or Dislike" buttons from within a post.

What is the difference between the "Can Click" and "Can Require Click" permissions?

I'm using VB 4.1.3

Thanks

DragonByte Tech 05-13-2011 09:42 PM

Did you update vBShout?

No I didn't... but after updating my lite version of vBShout, it now works great!
Thanks for the fix.

We have been having problems with members registering but staying in the guest usergroup.

When amember is disabled this does not happen.

How can we use this great plugin and amember without conflicting with each other?

DragonByte Tech 05-14-2011 03:56 AM

amember must be using an incorrect method of creating a new user. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that :(

Fillip

Sean James 05-14-2011 04:03 AM

Ok we will contact amember.

First, thank you very much for this outstanding mod!

I was hoping that there is a way to place a box around the postbit legacy information,.. the Post Thanks / Likes in the user information area. Can someone please tell me how it is done?

Roxie 05-14-2011 10:05 AM

Couple of things, I'm not seeing the importer for Abe's mod.
Also, is there a way to remove the postbit info? Or to have the info listed somewhere else? Trying to cut down on the postbit clutter.

Thanks!

TheChief 05-14-2011 10:36 AM

I've followed this:

1. Upload all files from the "upload" folder to your forums directory.

2. CHMOD the following folders to 0777
/dbtech/thanks/vbactivity_type

3. Import the product-dbtech_thanks.xml file from the "XML" folder at AdminCP ->
Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product

4. Configure your Usergroup settings by clicking "Manage Buttons" under
"DBTech - Post Thanks" in your AdminCP navigation menu, then
editing each button and setting your usergroup permissions from there.

however there is no where that i can see in my admin cp that i can amend the permissions (see red). That has left the mod visibile on my forum but i cannot select anything

Please advise

deverill2010 05-14-2011 12:54 PM

I have this installed and love it.
One thing I have noticed is that I must have it enabled for guests which I don't mind but when a guest click on it, it doesn't show a name.

Surely it should show 'guest'?

I'd say make sure you uploaded all files.

deverill2010 05-14-2011 01:30 PM

under DBTech - Post Thanks click on manage buttons then edit a button.then the usergroup permissions are all there.

TheChief 05-14-2011 01:59 PM

sorry for the dumb questions, total newbie

deverill2010 05-14-2011 02:08 PM

A block titled this "DBTech - Post Thanks" should yes. Mine appears under vBulletin Blog

TheChief 05-14-2011 02:12 PM

We do offer an integrated button option in the Pro version. We will also make further layout optimisations in the future :)

Thanks!

The importer is a Pro-only feature. Sadly the postbit information cannot be hidden at this time, though we will update it in the future with more display options :)

Please either give your account Super Admin permissions via config.php or use your Super Admin account to give your account Can Administer Thanks :)

It is not intended for guests to be able to click the buttons, the reason why Unregistered usergroup still has that option is because I can't exclude it from the settings array.

What can i say....................You're my Hero :)

TheChief 05-14-2011 02:40 PM

Please post your questions / suggestions in our Pro support forum then, that way you can be sure they're read when it's time to plan a new version :)

Fillip

TheChief 05-14-2011 03:26 PM

still getting:

Warning: require_once(../dbtech/thanks/includes/specialtemplates.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/grayfoxf/public_html/forums/thanks.php on line 28

I've followed the flow on my FTP and they are there, any other thoughts

DragonByte Tech 05-14-2011 03:32 PM

It looks like you've accidentally uploaded the /upload/admincp/thanks.php to the main forum folder.
Could you please double-check the folder structure of your upload?

Fillip

TheChief 05-14-2011 03:48 PM

They are in public HTML/forums/ the in the required upload folders

TheChief 05-14-2011 03:50 PM

I really am sorry for all this :(

DragonByte Tech 05-14-2011 03:52 PM

In that case I am unable to assist any further.

The line number and the code that is producing the error is consistent with the thanks.php file found in the admincp folder, but if you insist that this is not the case then there's nothing more I can do :(

Fillip
