the button to leave feedback in the sellers post is missing for me. Is it there? Because in the hack I saw something about having that link to leave feedback in the postbit and it wasnt in the postbit for me when it was enabled.

I'm considering upgrading to vB 4 - and I like iTrader on 3, but the one drawback for us is the legacy feedback that we had in place before the install of iTrader - there was no way to add in previous feedback to the iTrader system.

Has that been fixed in this version?

Just discovered this product and absolutely love it. Been looking for something like this for a while now and it will be hugely beneficial to my site.

I've installed it on my test rig in my office, on VB 4.1.2 and it appears to be just fine. Although I have a few issues.

1.) With Itrader in the NavBar Sub-menu, the final entry in the drop down menu is not shown. it's is there and is clickable but it appears to be white text on a white background. Can you advise where I can fix this?

2.) When I'm viewing a user through itrader there home link (the house icon just above the tabbed interface) shows House Icon, Itrader, arrow icon, Username. If I click on Itrader it should take me to Itrader main page but it actually links me right back to the users page I'm already on.

3.) I would like to use additional.css to change the colors on some fonts on various pages, mostly in places like blocksubhead or footer. I imagine it'll look something like this..

FInally, can I make a suggestion re the upcoming releases. Rather than cease all major work on thsi product. Might I suggest that you release one more bug fix and then from version 3.0 onwards you take this product off VB.org and make it a chargeable item. Anyone wanting to use it after version 3x needs to pay a flat licence fee. I make this suggestion because I understand your pain at not getting paid for your work...damned if I would work for free! Anyone who has already sent a sizeable donation can have their 3x version for free but all others must pay the licence fee. I am more than happy to pay you for this because this is a practical and essential product worth paying for!

Can someone clue me in to what the menu options 'Find a Buyer' and 'Find a Seller' are actually supposed to do? The 'Browse All Members' option in the menu seems to give a list of all those people who used the 'Your Options' in the menu to fill in the fields 'What Are You Buying' and 'What Are You Selling'. I presume the 'Find a Buyer' and 'Find a Seller' menu items are designed to refine this further by only showing either those looking to Buy or those looking to Sell. Is that correct? If so, it does not seem to work on my 4.1.2 test-site, although I should add that sofar only the Admin account has been configured with the 'What Are You Buying' and 'What Are You Selling' fields.

Is there a way to modify the access permissions to forums and subforums with itrader?

Example, for big transaction forums, the minimum itrader to have access must be "50".

I think this will be a great addition.

The solution is using another product like vb experience, but when i activate the plugin, the trade button in postbit dissapears for the creator of the topic.

This was a bug that it was already fixed, so what could be the problem in this case?

when replying to feedback the text inside the Reply button is picking up it's font colour from the block stylevars rather than from where it ought to get it from.

Also, the problem with show sellers or show buyers not actually listing anything is probably a Firefox 3.8.x issue but I shall investigate further!

Hi sorry if this was already answered but I have a postbit modification question.

In my postbit it looks like this:

Feedback Score: # of reviews (Percent%)

Which is fine. But what I'd like to do is change the percent color depending on what their review percent is. I'd like it to display like this:

76-100%: Lime Green
51-75%: Yellow
26-50%: Orange
0-25%: Red

Is this possible? If it is, could someone who knows how to edit post the new code here? Thank you so much.

There is missing the itrader_buy column in your database. I don't know why, but for some reason it was not created. Do you know how to add it manually?
There should be an image for each rating for that... Don't you see it? Usually you only need to set the usergroup permission for that. :(
There should be an option for that in the admincp settings to pleace the feedback score underneath the post counter.
I don't know understand what previous feedbacks you would like to import/add?

1) There is missing the following phrase "itrader_your_profile" or your itrader_navbar_menu is not up to date.
2) This is an issue I already know, but it doesn't seem to be fixable. :(
3) You are not able by changing colors on some pages in the css files because there are no conditions for that. You could add css changes in the footer of these pages, but that is a very unclean method.

I am not able to make a paid product out of it, because i am not the original author, who only gave me the permissions to publish these versions for free.
"Find a buyer" and "Find a seller" is currently only conntected with the "Browse all members" link, where you will find these specifications.
This was planned for furher releases, but it is a matter of support by the users why this mod hasn't been enhanced anymore.

I have a little bug on iTrade:
When I rate someone (me as a seller), the rated user it is displayed as trader.
When I rate someone (me as a trader), the rated user is displayed as a seller.
When I am a seller it is working ok, the other one is a buyer.

Yes my website runs 4.0.8 so it should work on yours.

iTrader is something that you can use to submit feedback AFTER you've sold/bought something (if the transaction went well, you give them a positive rating, and vice versa for negative) you don't actually sell things with this modification.

I would like forums members of a certain usergroup to be able to start/list an item that has a buy it now.

I would like the transactions to be done between them and not me. I would luike varioos options of payments, including PayPal.

And the iTrader feedback system to work with it.

I used to use vBclassified on 3.x, I have looked at microClassifieds, but it is not for me. :(

Itrader does not do anything like that Welshy. It is merely an enhanced reputation system.

Let me explain, I run a hobby board in the UK. We have a forum set aside for folks who want buy, sell or trade hobby items. These are private transactions between individuals and all the forum offers them is a central location where they can start a thread listing what they want to get/want to dispose, and how they want to do this sell, buy or trade. It's nothing more than just people posting threads. Caveat Emptor applies and everyone knows that these are private transactions and nothing to do with the board. Like you I have looked at MicroClassifieds as a replacemtn for this but found it too cluttered and not very well thought out. So I've decided to stick with the dedicated forum and leave it at that until something better comes along.

In the meantime Itrader allows me to add an extra tab on everyone's profile page that simply indicates how many postive, neutral and negative feedbacks they have received from people who have choosen to leave them a feedback for one of these transactions. It can be link to the transaction by including a URL to the original thread. There is also the option to add a 'leave feedback' button on the first post in a thread in the dedicated forum.

You can leave a postive (plus1), a neutral (0), or a negative (-1) and a comment 85 characters long. Everyone can see these. There is also provision to leave a longer, discussion type message which can only be seen by the two main parties and the admin team. This, I presume, is for dispute resolution issues.

There's not much more to it than that and it does seem to do what it does rather well. I've played with it on my test rig and have just installed in on my live system although I haven't yet let my users live on it. I'm waiting to upgrade to 4.1.3 to ensure that there are no issues with this before I do that.

NOW, how about adding a Northern Ireland flag to you flag mod so I can install it on my site. I'd love to use it but I have a load of Ulstermen who will get miffed with me if I don't give them their flag also!

With regard to the Northern Ireland flag, I have had this requested on my forum too, the problem is that I took over the mod from someone else, and a friend of theirs actually made the flag.

I have also had a request for a yorkshire flag amongst others.

After reading through a couple pages of posts it sure brings back memories... Years later and same old questions / problems... Makes me seriously debate if I ever want to pick up where I left off on this.

Is there any way to set this up so that, as Old-Git says is using it, so that it can only be used for the dedicated "For Sale or Transaction" forum (threads) and that ONLY members that have been in a sale can leave or receive feedback (sorry if this has been asked, but I don't fancy trawling through all those pages to look).

Just to clarify, ONLY members that have purchased from/sold to, can leave and receive feedback for each other and not a clown on the forum who has not had a transaction leaving it.
And also, I notice that the "Enter the URL" in not compulsory - are we able to make it compulsory please?

How do I get it to display in my posbit too, Please? (iTrader (1) )

I have done the usergroup permissions and under the iTrader tools tab in Admincp, all I can see is the counter reset.

I would love to be able to use this on our forum, but we have a long established feedback thread with ratings and I really need to able to at least do a one time edit on each member to apply the feedback they've already earned.

I'd gladly pay for this modification.
