Thoughts?

I have it installed successfully on a classic 4.1.3.

Regarding your problem. Could it be that you are trying to upload the xml file in the plugin uploader when you should be adding/importing a 'Product'??

Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product

Hope this helps.

Well, maybe I'm forgetting the process, but I was doing the above mentioned because when I do your suggestion I would get this:
Please upload the file bitfield_vbhtabs.xml to /includes/xml/ before installing or upgrading!
Por favor subre el archivo bitfield_vbhtabs.xml a /includes/xml/ y luego instalar o actualizar este addon

Ideas?

Sure, not a problem.

The installation is a two step process, there are two different xml files.

1) First you need to place 'bitfield_vbhtabs.xml' on your web server in the correct folder /includes/xml/ . You can find this file inside the upload folder. Maybe use a FTP client to get this to your web space (if your server is not local).

2) Secondly, this is the stage you can use the VB control panel to upload product-vbh_newtabs10.xml.

Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product

Thanks! Its running. I swore I sent bitfield threw the Download / Upload Plugins section last time. Thanks again.

We are using vBadvanced CMPS v4.1.0 on our vB 4.1.3 Forum Classic. Unfortunatly the "Home" tab which goes the CMPS index will not depress when click. The THIS_SCRIPT is entered correctly from the php.

Are there any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Jennifer2010 04-15-2011 07:20 AM

Uninstalled this and found a different mod. Sorry but for something as trivial as adding a tab to my navbar does not warrant a link in my footer.

basilrath 04-15-2011 11:15 AM

Well customise the footer etc

Hi eveyone here.

My first day experimenting with VBulletin and first post.

OK..I"ve installed

Imported the xml file from the product manager..
Uploaded the files in the upload folder to your forums via ftp.

Then I go to:
vBulletin Options> ..... but there's no VBH New Tabs Option !

Uh ! ..

It sounded soooo simple...why does this stuff seem so geeky:eek:

Any guidance appreciated and many thanks in advance if you can help.

cb1100r 05-06-2011 06:45 PM

... OK

Uninstalled.. the reinstalled.
Now it's working..
It is simple... maybe I just have to do everything more than once :-)

CK 05-06-2011 06:51 PM

I installed this recently, nice clean and simple. Does what it should do and is easy enough to muck about with.

mishb68 05-12-2011 03:52 AM

LOOOOVE this mod. It has saved my sanity. Thank you!!!

okhissabigfish 05-12-2011 09:47 AM

did I miss it in this long thead? has anyone perfected sub-tabs using this mod? or??

Tyluur 05-12-2011 09:51 PM

I want the navigation bar to show the 'Portal' first, instead of Forum first. But I want the other tabs to remain how they are. I used vBH Tabs plugin for vBulletin 4.1.2.

This is what I mean..

Nightcop 05-20-2011 04:09 PM

invalid file specified ?

paulket 05-23-2011 04:01 PM

Uninstalled, the footer link is way too obnoxious. I would have never installed this mod had I known it would be on every page of my site.

Kapeket 05-24-2011 03:37 AM

Link us to the other product. I would appreciate another option as well.

Thanks!

Code:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/class_bootstrap.php(414) : eval()'d code on line 6

I uninstalled and then reinstalled and it works fine again. Something about the vbulletin upgrade scripts messes it up, so you have to uninstall/reinstall each time.

gersforum@gmail 06-04-2011 06:38 AM

Working a charm and just what we required! Great skills!

Running smoothly on Version 4.1.3

JVCode 06-04-2011 08:31 AM

Trevor Matthews 06-06-2011 02:58 PM

I installed this and like other tab mods it doesn't highlight the tab selected.

I want to add two new tabs. One called Discussions and the other Repair tips.

How do I do this and allow the tabs to be highlighted.
The two new tabs are just links to parts of the forum.
I understand the .php bit bit does a sub forum have a .php page to itself?

Mark4865 06-13-2011 08:58 AM

Anyone running this with 4.1.4

Darsay 06-14-2011 07:48 PM

Quick question. I noticed that when a new tab is clicked on, it does not stay highlighted when on the new page. How come?

ForceHSS 06-25-2011 09:35 PM

upload the contents of the 'upload>includes>xml' folder to your root>includes>xml folder BEFORE importing the product via 'add product'

Does this fix the issue with tabs not showing selected? I added two tabs (Groups and Marketplace), added the THIS_SCRIPT values for the pages in AdminCP but both tabs don't show selected.
