I do not understand the following part can I get some Help Please!
I put the code in on the template but nothing is showing up. With or without the quotes? Either way it does not show up. I installed the plugin.

To have ChatBox enabled on desired page:
1. THIS_SCRIPT must be defined in php file (THIS_SCRIPT? in What PHP File?) (by default all important vBulletin files has this)
2. Hack options - You must add THIS_SCRIPT value for target page to "Show ChatBox on" setting field
3. Main template called on target page must contain "$cybchatbox" variable

installed fine and I like it so far. tyvm

I have 2.2 installed and tried the upgrade to 2.3 with the over write option but it just sits there forever, i waited at least 10min before interrupting it.

So i am not sure whats happened. First time i have had issues.

Just try again or try with uploading XML to includes/xml, then importing it using second option in Import Product form ("import the XML file from your server").

And btw thanks to people who nominated and voted for ChatBox in MOTM area.

I guess I'm looking over something simple here...

Instead of the chatbox displaying at the top of all of the forums, I want them at the bottom.

I went into FORUMHOME and put in $cybchatbox where I want it to show up. Now, it shows up, but it still shows up at the top as well. The bottom one constantly says "Loading...", and the top one loads in the messages properly.

I appreciate the help :)

Am i'm the only one where it makes alot of 'guest' appear online and its says they're "Viewing ChatBox Archive"

Installed and working great so far, but I'm a neophyte with the templates and coding stuff, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

I agree a little chime or a buzz when new messages are posted might be helpful.

This doesn't work for me. Everytime I try to post to test it out I get that stupid security token message. Any ideas?

It looks like I'm only getting this messing when browsing with FF3. It seems to work fine with IE. ???

Steve... thanks for this... that was very helpful. Is there any way to just change the NavBar to say ChatBox instead of deleting it entirely:o. I'd like it to stay on the NavBar but I don't want member's to think that the chat room is full.

Thank you for all your hard work on this mod. I am so new to using VBulletin and it was really easy to install. I appreciate the simple and clear instructions that you gave everyone.:up:
It will be such a great addition to the site I'm building.

I'm unsure of a few items which I would probably know if I were more advanced in my Admin skills. But, I've looked through all the questions and I can't find the answers so I'll ask them just in case anyone can help.

1) Is there anyway to place a SUBMIT or ENTER next to the submit button or...right on it?
I know someone said they had a way to replace the button but the link did not work.
2) Is it possible to send personal message or private messages while in the chat room or can
everyone on the board see the messages?
3) On the version I've installed, you can't see who's in the chatroom until someone starts to
write. Is that the same for everyone else? Or, is there something I can change on the Admin CP
so that users can see who is viewing the room even if they are not writing anything?
4) I finally understand the Chat Room Full means "viewing the chat room in full size" and not
that the chat room is full (D-U-H). I still would like to change the wording on the Nav-Bar so if
anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I'm nominating this because I think it's a great add on feature. If you ever add personal rooms as a part of this chat, please let me know. That would be awesome!

You need to include a submit button, some browsers can't use it because of this.

Hi. I have a problem with the time: "%H:%m" is the code but always appears "10" in seconds. Any solution?

how do I get the submit button to appear?

nvm fixed that bug, with the newest update how do I rid myself and users of the "updateing message" prompt. It gets quite old.

I must admit, this hack has come a long ways. I remember installing it a while back. At the time it caused my system to run extremely slow so I had to uninstall it.

There seems to be a huge update since then and I must say, I am impressed with it's improvements.

are there any thoughts on a "personal chat box"? some of my users, u know they are at work and cant use IM programs, so a 1:1 personal convo isnt possible really, other than thru PMs

U can delete the year of the date?? i think is 2008 i know any know that ... is just a idea.

Fix for time format:

%H:%M:%S <<< set like this and for day
%D <<< just this ...

I think is many letters or numbers, day, mounth and year , i think just day and mounth, and for time don't works ok without seconds xD :D is all. Or replace Date for Today if was posted today not with date, and others days for date :D is a good idea, too can create commands like prune :) and ban user :).

Members complained that this mod was slowing down our site. Unfortunately I had to disable this feature. :(

How many messages do you have? I found that when we reached 45,000 messages in the chatbox, I had to roll (truncate) the database. You can do that through the chatbox admin drop down. Did you also try the tweaks in the admincp?

I fixed the date problem, only de MINUTES arent working...

KeysS, check hack options for date/time settings.

floggerss, options to ban/unban user, and delete message(s) are found in CB Archive.

You should always check hack options/pages before asking such questions.

Is there anyway to create channels with this chat box? As I find channels quite important, especially for moderators / admins only views.

I bet this eats up all the resources of the server.

Does NOT work for me, layout seems to be good, however I do not see a submit button. I do not want a submit button but when typing a msg and click <ENTER> to end the msg, the msg is not displayed but the cursor will go down one row in the msg-entry field. So I can not get the msg displayed in the chatbox area. {I'm using vbulletin 3.7.3 na cyb chatbox 2.3}

Could you please post, complete (changed) xml?
