Upgraded to 1.8 and mp3 attachments still will not play. Again, inline links play fine but attachments just stop.

mhammed 05-10-2008 07:32 AM

I think that there's a bug display with IE and Opera
there is a gap important in the display where the plugin is active , as in the picture accompanying
this bug is not visible with Firefox

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

my style is not fluid (fixed width 900 px)

Excuse my verry poor inglish

click installed, nominated for MOTM
PS: the flash mp3 player don't support files compressed sample rate less than 44100 Mz

BrOkEn.HaLo 05-10-2008 09:56 AM

Everything is working beautifully on my forum. I only have one issue. When you click on "Profile Video" in the UserCP and it takes me to "Add a Profile Video" page at the I get the error message

Quote:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/goldbrick/plugins/profile_start.php(19) : eval()'d code on line 2
It still takes the URL and submits it and works beautifully. I'd just like to clear up the error message. What do I need to do to fix this error?

rapidphim 05-10-2008 10:00 AM

broken, can you please help me test dailymotion, megavideo to see it's working? Also, do you see the "Test Only" under the image when display full size?

naisho 05-10-2008 10:34 AM

Just tested dailymotion and megavideo and it works.

What would be nice is to be able to remove or disable the automatic title below thumb because with some languages (asian languages) it doesn't display correctly (different charset) and also because when the title is long, it doesn't display well below video.
Here are two examples. One with a too long title (dailymotion) and another one with japanese language not displayed correctly (youtube).

DDad 05-10-2008 11:33 AM

I had someone tell me it didn't work for them using a mac with firefox. Anyone else have this problem if so what are they doing wrong?

I'll look into it. If its IE6 I'm not to worried about it.

Dailymotion works fine. Can you post the link you're using that doesn't work?

I'm going to add the remove titles and I'm also going to trim the long ones.

Firefox 2 on the mac has known flash bugs. Firefox 3 has fixed these and will be released in June. You can use a nightly build of it now to test. Yes I'm on a mac.

I want to thank everyone for helping me test 1.8. I'll have some more bug fixes out on Sunday or Monday.

If you have the problem where you just see media tags, instead of editing every thread, you can just empty your postphrased table in phpMyAdmin. I'll add something so it will easier in the future.

If you're having problems with attachments, make sure your attachment system is switched to the file system and you have whatever extension you're using to vbulletin. Attachments are working with 1.8.

rapidphim 05-10-2008 04:39 PM

thanks Nix, I'll post those links when I get home. However, do you know why the highslide for the image thumbnail is gone?
for dailymotion & megavideo, I only show URL link instead and for some, it displays blank white screen on the popup. Don't know why I always have problem with Dailymotion.

Here is the link to DailyMotion: I grabbed the perman link
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4c...xauxi0100_news

Here is the megavideo link

Rapid I don't see "Test Only" under the image when displayed in full size. Get me a link for any dailymotion, megavideo and I'll test it on my forum for you.

rapidphim 05-11-2008 03:55 PM

Broken, please see my post #648 (few threads above). This is so weird that Dailymotion and MegaVideo are not working on mine and I also saw the Test Only on the bottom of the image... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't have time to add new sites untill I get this where I want it. Goldbrick is setup to allow you to add your own though.

Are you using 1.8 from the zip file I posted?

rapidphim 05-11-2008 05:35 PM

Nix, Yes I am using the 1.8 version. I have been having problem with DailyMotion on 3.6.x. Can you please check the above two example DailyMotion and Megavideo links? Also, Flash player is not working properly too. And not sure everyone or just me, I received the "Test Only" footnote on the bottom of the (some) images.

I tried the two links that you posted and I wasn't able to get them to play on my forum. I'm not that familiar with DailyMotion or Megavideo, but are these links direct links to the video feed?

I'm using v1.5
I did upgrade to v1.8 but I went back to v1.5. I don't know why v1.8 just didn't work for me as well.

DDad 05-11-2008 07:03 PM

I had to revert back to 1.5, I uploaded the 1.8 and the threads I had videos in went blank(white pages). I will try it again with a uninstall/reinstall and let you know.

Yeah, that's what happened when I upgraded to 1.8. So I reverted back to 1.5 and it works like a charm.

rapidphim 05-11-2008 08:47 PM

they were perment link. Broken, can you please post a working dailymotion link so I can test it on my site? Thanks

Where exactly is this file gb_usercp_profile template? It dosen't seem to exist in the download I got.

rapidphim 05-11-2008 10:39 PM

Tom, are you using 1.5 or 1.8?
log on your admincp, style manager, style name, edit template,:

For version 1.5, goldbrick templates should listed right under forumrules, gb_usercp_profile should listed at the very last.

For version 1.8, goldbrick templates all located in its own folder, still under forumrules, double click on Goldbrick Templates, and you'll see them all.

Tom_S 05-11-2008 11:11 PM

I just downloaded the 1.5 version. I didn't know there was a 1.8? Is the 1.8 for Gold and where is it? Thanks ;)

1.8 is meant for gold version but not yet offcially released. It's still in beta testing stage. And here is where you can download it

Tom_S 05-12-2008 12:17 AM

Thanks my friend. :)

Tom_S 05-12-2008 01:13 AM

1.8 isn't adding the [media] to the bbcode automatically. instead it is using [url] which in turns makes in not work. Is this anyone else has an issue with it or did I over look something. I did a complete uninstall of 1.5 before the install of 1.8.

Did you add the mp3 extension to the allowed extension list to vbulletin? You also have to be using the flile system for vbulletin attachments. Make sure that path is also correct.

1.8 doesn't need that fix anymore.

the only difference between 1.8 and 1.5 is some minor bug fixes.

What are you trying to do that you can't?

Tom_S 05-12-2008 02:29 AM

Simple..I add the youtube url in a post ie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgnL5oJvk0E and it should add I am assuming
PHP Code:

[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgnL5oJvk0E[/media]

correct? Instead it is adding
PHP Code:

[url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgnL5oJvk0E[/url]

which gives only a url link. This is using 1.8 and that is of course as I explained after I fully uninstalled 1.5. The option in the ACP "Show the download link?" is set to "No" but I tried it both ways.

Hope that helps explain it better.

Just post the link and hit reply. No need for url tags.

Show the download link is an old setting for the classic style. I'm still not sure what isn't working for you.

Tom_S 05-12-2008 05:48 AM

How am I not explaining this to you correctly. I AM posting the url and the url alone and hitting submit. After I do that it should post it with the media being there correctly. It isn't. I am explaining to you what it is doing instead.

nix 05-12-2008 06:09 AM

And you setup forum permissions and user group permissions and the youtube.php file is in the sites folder?

rapidphim 05-12-2008 06:35 AM

Nix, do you have chance to look into my troubles yet? thanks.

Tom_S 05-12-2008 06:57 AM

Your killing me dude. What does that have to do with what I am telling you. The setup is changing the bbcode call function from media to url. Of course I have everything setup right or I wouldn't have even brought it to your attention in the first place. I'm not going to waste your time bouncing useless information off of you when I didn't setup the mod right. I can change the BBCode Tag Name in the ACP setup to url and it works fine but I'm obviously not going to leave it that way.

I do have nCode image resizer installed and it may be bumping heads with it. I have no idea but it is a possiblity. I do know that I have given you what I thought was rather good descriptive feeback on the problem but I am starting to feel like I'm not doing so well at it now.

Tom, go to vbulletin options, then Goldbrick media options. Double check to see if where it says "Set the tag name for the BBcode." that is says "media" instead of "url".

Tom_S 05-12-2008 09:07 AM

You all really need to read what I wrote. I changed it to URL and it worked then because it was not working as it should. Do we understand that so far. It was not using the bbcode MEDIA..it was putting the bbcode URL there. The bbcode MEDIA was in the ACP where it should be. I changed it however to URL to see if it would show the youtube embed in a post and it did. However we all know that is the incorrect method. The correct method the mod uses is MEDIA as the bbcode and it is not using it. Do we follow me now? IT is not functioning by putting the word [media] http://whatevertoyoutube.com/ickydoodle.movie [/media] that would be the raw code you would see if the video wasn't there. It isn't. It is using URL instead of MEDIA. Don't make me get my etch a sketch out and draw pictures! :p

Tom_S 05-12-2008 02:25 PM

Just to avoid any confusion you can see I do have it selected as "media" however I think it is working now. I will see but I didn't do anything.
