It's not possible to disable it for guests

same here - so far I have not had much luck with the TV stations, so having "TV & Radio" in the navbar link, with no TV stations added seems kinda weird, IMO.

It's really up to you, 1.2 works fine. Read the version history for a list of changes.

In new version you must insert Sections before category (for TV and Radio, Or Country...)

The mod says updated. What was the update about? I did not get the email. Is it anything important?

Here are 370 TV stations I have recently added (category: Television). All of them have been checked and verified.

I found a couple bugs:
1) If the title or description have an apostrophe in the title or description the submission process seems to hang up and never submit, so titles like "Bill's Radio" don't seem to work
2) When entering a long description the submission process seems to hang up as well.
3) when entering a long URL for the stream it hangs up as well, and does not submit

Also, I updated post 661 above with even more TV stations - for a total of 180 TV stations - all checked and verified. :)

Is there anyway to make it so only certain usergroups can view certain categories? ;)

Here "bill's radio" in the title/url/description worked fine, I could add/view/delete it.

Can you provide an example of long description/url for me to test here?

The category suggestion is interesting, I'll think about it. In the meantime you can ask other coders to make it as an addon.

hmm - well I assumed it was the apostrophe - maybe it was the lengthy description - did you try that?

here ya go:
I got around this by converting the long URL at tinyurl.com, but it takes longer to load (but it does work, though I would just like to be able to enter long strings as is).

Here it "worked", it just truncated the URL, but didn't hang there.

In the database, try raising the size of the field "url" in the table "radiostation_station" and check if it works for you.

I chose each of those values because I didn't think people would use stuff bigger than that.

I'd love to put these on but its looking for the old radiostations_admin.php--I get an error when trying to import.

Thanks will do. I have come across some URLs that were 200 characters long :eek: but have not seen any longer than that, so you may wanna keep that in mind for future revisions - obviously up to you. Weird it didn't hang up on you - must be a difference of servers - I dunno.

I don't know what to tell you about that - maybe upgrade? why not upgrade instead of trying to cobble along the old version? It only takes a minute to delete the old files and product and import the new one. If you are worried about losing the stations you have now, simply export them before deleting the old version. In the new radio and tv version I have had no problems importing xml's from the previous radio only version.

Couple of question before i install. Is it possible that this could work with nowlive.com
(anyone can host a show there and the shows can be streamed through windows media player)

Also is it possible that I can upload videos and have them play in this mod?

I did upgrade. The php is now called radioandtv_admin.php

Unless it just changed. I was saying I thought your .xml went to the old version, not that I was trying to keep it. I upgrade anytime I can.

sure enough, running the current version (1.3) and your .xml won't upload because its looking for the older version of the .php file for the admincp

weird - I upgraded the entire hack - maybe dream can debug this one

Try downloading the zip again and updating all your files, the cpnav xml, admin file as well.

If you can get the streaming URL for windows media player than they will work with this mod. You can also upload videos to your server and have they run by providing their url to the mod, but I'm not sure if they would be streamed or it would need to download everything first before playing.

Works great with nowlive.com streaming link, so this is exactly what I need, just need to customise the look and I'll be rolling. I'll test with uploaded videos later on, if they work, I'll be exstatic!

Hi Dream, I just went to upgrade to ReadioAndTv and when I went to "Reload your Admin Control Panel", go to Radio and TV >> Import / Export Stations, I clicked on import to get the TV .xml posted here. I get this error.

The requested URL /admincp/radiostations_admin.php was not found on this server.

I did upload it.

I am using vb 3.5.3 and that product version.
