i'm Sandro, an italian user. i've upload Vbay 1.1.0 and upgrate it with 1.1.3. it's great script!!! but...THERE AREN'T or not function Full paypal support, Buy it now feature (it's important) Trader reputation. what is the problem? i want suggest you a few mod: - for next version/mod/fix etc... can you post only mods ? (in this case i can modify and integrate the script that i've just upload and traslate in italian lenguage!) - there are any methods for pay the user for only vbay usage with paypal ? - order category listing by alph name...(in the acp) i've creae a domains marketplace with your script! Thanks a lot and compliments for yours work! (scusme for my imperfect english) |

I'm missing more options to use it as an auction system for game items, payable via (Game-)GOLD. * Options - Address should be optional - I don't need it as the items are virtual - and also the currency it is. Needed an special seller accountgroup is too much for the users to handle. * I have multiple usergroups for registered users, depending on their posting count. Vbay Seller Usergroup should be expanded for more usergroups. * If you change the name of your marketplace to e.g. Marketplace, all other references like title, navbarlink, breadcrumb info, etc... are still saying vbay Any chance to work on this? |
The last one is easy to fix with a few template edits. I called mine Dtbay :D

My chat room Link in the nav bar changes .... if theres 4 people in there it has a [4] After the text in the nav bar Chat Room [4] ANy Way Possible to have Vbay [10] Ect and have the number change as the auctions getts added to and removed ? Also i use itrader with this so if you make a rating system make sure i can turn it off DM |

Okay, go into your database and delete the tables vbay_categories and vbay_items
that should fix your problem. |

ok excuse my ignorance. I am wondering a few things. I may have missed the answer.
1. Can I make this so only certain groups can use this or after certain amount of posts? 2. Any way to charge people once item sells, or you can charge a small fee to list items? 3. Is it integrated with the itrader ? thanks |

None of these are integrated at the moment
The list of things im doing for next release include: FULL phrase support, Buy it now feature, and extended my vbay (tagged auctions, auctions that have been bid on.) |
oh great, so right now it is working but still working on integrating these things? Do you know about when this will happen?

I install it and every thing is good but when I try to replace some word to my language (translate mod) the product page become white page then I delete my translate, uninstall the product and re-upload all the file and add the plugin again from my admincp but this error happen Quote:

Well i seemed to have problems installing.. fixed 2 to get it basically to run..
1. the templates were truncated at install... why? because the vbay template for example contains a non-encoded html entity.. the ? sign.. it has to be © if like me you use UTF-8 encoding.. (the template imports only up to that sign..) and as the template is not finished and the database gives you error (but strangely only when it reads the template) .. (nb: it also doesnt like when suddenly single quotes are used in the template.. vbay template - at the end width='100%' instead of width="100%" .. but the issue was definitively the ? sign..) 2. ok.. got it running.. but when i want to add an auction.. it gives me an warning.. saying: Quote:

I run a Dark Tower fan site (set of Stephen King books) so I renamed the .php file "DTbay". Hopefully that is okay.
The link at the bottom of the page still goes straight to you though. |

I am hoping there is a way to edit the very first page a member sees when they log in the first time. It asks for a shipping address and I wanted to put a link to my sites privacy policy there. Just so folks know we aren't sharing their mailing address with anyone but the seller. I know it says that somewhere else but I really need it on the first page they see. Thank you in advance. Edit--also my Canadian users are saying it won't allow their postal code which is six digits long. I read the thread and found where to change the State allowable characters but not for the zip |
Not sure, it should allow it, but i would wait untill next version, which SHOULD be updated today.
