one suggestion for point earning:

right now, i set the point per post as 1.00 + 0.01 * N (where N= number of characters in the post). this point calculation can be exploited as members can simply post arbitrarily long content. so it would be nice if we could set a limit on the points one can earn from a single post. e.g., min (1.00 + 0.01 * N, M), where M is predefined maximum point limit. so no one can earn more than M points per post however long the post is.

I just installed this hack, but the step 10 show me that: Error in upgrade.

I have installed the ucash before that. Whats the problem?

And now i cant unistall, in the step 3 shows me:

Beta 3 has been released. The following issues have been adressed during this update:
  • Change Username now works
  • foreach() errors on uCS Admin pages solved (permanent solution to follow in RC versions)
  • You may not leave Name field blank error on uCS Add Category pages fixed.
  • Buy Forum Password has been debugged.
  • Buy Forum Access has been debugged.
  • Give Forum Access has been debugged.
  • Deny Forum Access have been debugged.
  • "You do not have enough points..." message shown incorrectly has been remedied.
  • Thief action on self did not yield proper error message.

To upgrade, simply reupload all files, run /installer/index.php, choose uCash & uShop from the list, and follow the instructions on screen.

At the end of running the isntall script It says
"You have now successfully upgraded uCash & uShop to version 2.00 Beta 2." But It did tell me to update the navbar template so I assume this is beta 3.

I'm having a problem. I want to disable some actions in uShop, so I went to 'Update in Mass' and deselected some active actions. But when I click on 'Save Values' the settings won't save, it just goes back to active again.
I'm running beta 3.

Hmm, the Ushop & ucash is not showin up in the Admin CP :S. i did everything it asked. Where do u turn the thing on xD?

Ushop is a forum store that allows you to buy forum upgrades using the forum money you earn while you're registered.
The forum bank contains 0 points.
Save up your money in the bank and collect wonderful interest!

Any idea why the bank says there are 0 points in the bank when there are really 30k plus?

It does not look perfectly fine, and that is not how it should look. It's my board, I wrote the code, and every tag is closed properly in the template I created. I found out earlier that if one disables the product_ucs under ACP/Manage Products, the admin CP options for UCash and Ushop disappear from the admin CP (and imho, it oughta work dat way too :) ) .

Make sure it's(the product) not disabled, or, the product_ucs imported ok... With beta 2, I had to import the product_ucs twice to get it working on my test board...

Thanks for Beta 3 folks, I will try it tomorrow after some more sleep... another long arse day in the mainframe world (real jobs suck) ! :speechless:

Jojo, to be fair to both authors, the best thing for you to do, is read the descriptions of both stores, and spend some time reading through the posts for each, to get an idea of what each creation does. Both are tremendous pieces of work.

There are somethings in life, that you just have to figure out on your own.

Hmm I think this is causing a bug with Usergroup HTML mark up. It was working before I installed this, now it doesnt apply to certain users. For example Admins HTML mark up is bold and italics. Well I am showing up as Bold, but another admin shows up regular.
