I must admit that I prefer the idea of keeping everything on the one server. Especially as most other image hosting options I have seen require the use of a "free" account. It is not meant as a slight on the companies concerned, but I have found that free resources (especially those which require storage space and bandwidth) have a nasty habit of vanashing and taking all of your valuable data with them. I would much rather be in full control of the situation and this modification allows that (once I get around to installing it).

Just installed this on my RC3, and it seems to work fine until I upload something:

Warning: getimagesize(/public_html/forums/userimages/Rinoa.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /image_host.php on line 115
unable to get image size

I think it is going down the list of all the Usergroups and taking the last one (maybe). All I know is that in order for it to work, you have to set the permission on all the groups.

I had to set the permission on all three usergroups i belong to inorder to have the right access.

Also:

sorry if this was posted already but your 'imghost_userbits ' template should be:

HTML Code:

<tr>
<td class="alt1"><a href=img_view_all.php?do=imgs&id=$rows[userid]>$username</a></td>
<td class="alt2">$img_count</td>
</tr>

not

HTML Code:

<tr>
<td class="alt1"><a href=test.php?do=imgs&id=$rows[userid]>$username</a></td>
<td class="alt2">$img_count</td>
</tr>

wayne luke have you tried this as this may be the cause of your error i have yet to test it to find out but will do shortly, if this is i will try to fix asap

loneranger 09-20-2005 06:28 PM

sorry for double post but i have now tested it and if a user is a member of more than 1 group it seems to take the groups premissions in the lowest order i am unsure if this is a error of vbulletin or my coding but if you would like to get this working you must set premissions for all usergroups your users are members of, will try to resolve this asap

TRStealth 09-21-2005 03:29 AM

Any fix for my problem, loneranger?

are you sure this /public_html/forums/userimages/is the full path to your image directory normally it /home/username/public_html/forums/userimages if you want me to check for you i will some more personal nfo like usernames and password which you can pm if you need help this infomation can usual be found in cpanel in file manager near the top

loneranger 09-21-2005 01:14 PM

i have found the error with filesize reading 0 it is due to vbulletin see 0 as unlimited larger than any number so when it reads the premissions for filesize it will always find 0 higher so you will need to see every usergroup to any number above 0 to stop this error i will try and this set as default when install and re upload the file.
