Ref last post, you was the one that sent me a Private message, I said I was just too busy working to stop and help and for me time is money / my lively-hood, its that simple, as I said to you in the PM I will actually add a modification for you as well (multiple product download).

I merely gave you a choice because I was so busy at this time, the files I have are heavily modified and will not work on a std install AT ALL!!

If you really thought I was pushing for sales on repairing others hacks by replying to your PM why would you now post that fact on the actual thread???? (Have you been touching that herbal stuff on your site ;))

Seriously if I was relying on advertising to make money, you have just given me some more

Just for the record, I had two Pm's from two different users, thats all!!?

Hope it didn't offend you.

This is what you said:

For 65 pounds I could get the basic script running on 3.6. For an additional 25 pounds, I could get it modified to add additional functionality.

For those of us in the U.S that don't know how much money that is, let me show you the conversion.

65 Pounds = $127.76
25 pounds = $49.14

Total cost = $176.90

I guess he feels that this modification is worth more than vBulletin itself. For the record, he offered a modification to the script. I simply asked for this "working" version he had. (The same one he offered to repost on this site less than 30 days ago.)

I realize I could simply decline the offer, which I did of course, but it is a matter of principle here.

To solicit sales using the private message system, for a modification you didn't even write to begin with is deceptive and in my opinion, dirty business practice. To over charge as he did, which makes it appear that whoever he is sending that too is an idiot, is insulting.

Calorie released this mod for free. I am certain that another version of it will be released at some point, for free, or Calorie himself will port it to 3.6. (If it hasn't been released by the time my new site is developed, I myself will be porting it over.)

Well considering the amount of money you are attempting to charge, and the fact that the base script you are trying to sell belongs to someone on this site, I see no issue with exposing you. I am not advertising you, I am warning people of you. How could you even begin to believe your modification to this script is worth more than vBSEO and with the added mod to it, worth more than vBulletin itself? It clearly shows you over charge for any work you do. Those prices are beyond insane.

You do realize my site is called "Herp Center". Herp stands for "herpetology". That is the study of reptiles and amphibians. Many biologists use the term "herp" or "herptiles" for all reptiles and amphibians. Where you got the drug antidote is beyond me. My site deals with reptiles.

I don't forsee anyone contacting you for much work after seeing the prices you are charging.

Your prices in themselves are offensive.

Thank you for your reply, I have not the time to play ping pong, if you wish to win, go on you won! I have just picked your toys up, now dont throw them again!

I get good prices for my work as I do it quickly, efficiently and on time, you get what you pay for. I dont need VB to give me work what so ever, I repeat, I dont need VB to give me work what so ever. I am under it hence why I said I would have to charge, I wasnt re-selling the whole script, it was a custom fix!

Unsubscribed from the thread as my one is working on 3.6.5 - I will not be back!

Ciao

Are you still planning on working on the port you mentioned back in May?

I would love this to be working in 3.6 so I dont have to be forced to revert back to using 3.5

EnIgMa1234 07-03-2007 06:28 PM

I have started it but not much progress

Allan 08-14-2007 10:10 PM
