I can manually load hack_install_b1.php but I get "No hacks found." IMHO it would be easier to install it manually :P |
I'm with you, A choice of Manual or auto install would be nice.
|
Can someone please post the code that goes in the forum home template. I seem to have reverted the template and can't run the reinstall again.
Thanks! |

MySQL version 4.0.18 Server Software: Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 I don't know how to check the rest but I do know that the system is NOT running in safemode. Like I said, I've successfully installed 6+ other hacks and I have many other PHP applications running on the server with no problems. And yes, I'm running vB 3.0.3 |
[QUOTE=Harley D]All I want to do is UNINSTALL all the TABLES form MYSQL!
So I can reinstall the hack. There has to be something left somewhere in the tables, I removed all file edits and also I've tried to delete the tables as shown on page 5 and still the install program see's that I have it installed and won't let me reinstall. any suggestions. EDIT] I found in the install php file, that it looks to the table "his_installed" If I'm correct, it this the little sucker thats keeping me from reinstalling? and is thid safe to delete? vBulletin 3.0.1 CURL support enabled CURL Information libcurl/7.10.7 OpenSSL/0.9.7d zlib/1.1.4 GD Support enabled GD Version bundled (2.0.22 compatible) FreeType Support enabled FreeType Linkage with freetype T1Lib Support enabled GIF Read Support enabled GIF Create Support enabled JPG Support enabled PNG Support enabled WBMP Support enabled XBM Support enabled JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support enabled MySQL Support enabled Active Persistent Links 1 Active Links 2 Client API version 4.0.20 PHP Version 4.3.6 safe_mode Off sql.safe_mode Off Apache Version Apache/1.3.31 (Unix) mod_jk/1.2.0 mod_throttle/3.1.2 FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 PHP/4.3.6 Apache Release 10331100 Apache API Version 19990320 EDIT" I have found that deleting his_installed does allow me to reinstall. However I still get an error Code:

Thanks in advance.. |
i have a left column on my forum. how can i get the shout box to be 150pixels in width? instead of going all the way across my right column?
|
well i got this to work in the end, im no expert and pretty new to php/sql
it seems when i installed vbindex and a previous shoutbox mod after uninstalling them it left behind tables in the sql database. Use phpmyadmin and search for shout, or shoutbox and delete everything under these names, i had to do around 5 or 6 deletes before running the installer again to get it to work. if you miss one of the tables to delete, the installer will not work and you will get the duplicate error message again when u install, so you have to REDO your deletes. justkeep searching in phpmyadmin. if a noob like me can do it then im sure you guys can well thats how i got it to work, i hope it helps some others :) thanks for this nice hack! got there in the end :) |
