That did it man! Thanks alot for the info -- this hack is the best shoutbox I have used to date and I have been Vbulletining for about 2 years now.

i went to uninstall it off of localhost and try it again
so i ran the the lines of code to uninstall in on of these post
and try to re-install it gives me this

FIXED
i had to run this to finish un-installing it

ALTER TABLE usergroup DROP `shoutmaxdaily`

now i am going to re-test it

i re-installed it and ran every thing from the SQL files and edited every PHP file and added every TEMPLATE
also converted all black vivi shoutbox post

still have problems with the iFrame, i have to turn it OFF
with it OFF i can post in the shout box but it takes me to the top on every shout
also when i try to view the shoutbox.php it is blank

Yeah, I was just confused which of the txt-documents contained the edits I needed to do.

Well, the templates work on a standard vB3 style, so it is probably a conflict with the shoutbox and the style. Look around for some missing closing tags and etc. If I knew more HTML I'd be able to fix it.

To fix the 0 username error, run shoutbox.php?do=update like the converter said.

For the other 2 errors, it appears that the templates weren't installed properly. Double check that all the templates were added properly.

Yeah, I was just confused which of the txt-documents contained the edits I needed to do.

Well, it uses standard vB permissions, so if every other permission works, then the shoutbox's should as well. Edit a usergroup to try and update the cache just in case it wasn't during the install, and check that the permissions are set properly.

The file edits for a new install are located in upload/admincp/shoutbox_install/new_file.txt.
