is there any fast way to let every usergroup (I got like 30 of them) see & participate on the quiz other than editing their permission one by one?

First, thanks for a fun mod!

Second, I have a problem with this mod being infected with a virus. It sets off nod32 and security essentials and black lists the pages. It happened to both sites I have used this mod on. I scanned the directory and all of the files within the dbtech/vbquiz directory seam to be infected.

Can I overwrite the directory with clean files to solve the issue, or I need to do something more? How can I prevent this from happening again?

Hey,

I've just downloaded the 1.2.1 files and installed them on a test board, and Nod32 (v5.0.93.0) has kept entirely quiet. Could you provide a screenshot of the virus popup Nod32 gives when you're attempting to access your site?

Also, you may want to check your FTP access logs to ensure nobody has uploaded infected files without your knowledge.

In addition, if you didn't get the files from www.DragonByte-Tech.com or from this thread, then it's possible the user that uploaded the files has attached viruses to them.

Finally, you may want to run a deep scan of your computer just to make sure it's not a virus that's hiding in sections of the OS that Nod's live protection don't normally scan.

same results for me, when I download the zip it is scanned as clean, but when I try to download the vbquiz driectory from my site I get this message 100's of times for each file that is infected.

vBQuiz does not contain a directory called /dbtech/vbquiz/includes/nickmartin :)

I don't know how that directory got created, but it was infected for sure.

It's not an issue in vBQuiz, I suggest you follow the advice posted in my previous post :)

If it -was- vBQuiz, NOD would trigger when you first downloaded it, not after you uploaded it. Whatever script on your server is infected is scanning for writable directories and duplicates itself to that folder.
