I can't get this to work with the facebook connect. It all works fine, but the one-click registration is blocked as spam.
Any help? |
One question. Before I saw this here, I found another "STOP FORUM SPAM" Mod for vB4 here, i think its on the 2nd or 3rd page of the Mods atm.
What Version is the better one e.g. which one should I use ? Thanks in advance. Wolf |
I am having trouble installing
I have uploaded the files to root directory. I go to Plugins and Products>Manage Products>[Add/Import Product] I have entered ./includes/xml/cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml but when I click on import I get error message Invalid File Specified but the file is there in the xml folder so why? |

OK, I did I think. I get the error message even though the file is there, in my xml folder, in the admincp folder, on the server.
Doesn't ./includes/xml/cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml indicate the mod folder? On the server? Not in my upload directory? I am not trying to browse to my directory on my computer. Tried again, with /includes/xml/cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml got the error message No file uploaded and no local file found. But I uploaded it. It is on the sever, I can see it with SmartFTP in the folder xml in the folder includes in the folder forums |
Upload the product-vbstopforumspam.xml from the mod folder where the installation.txt is placed too
|
not the includes upload it from your computer, its not any of the files you upload to the server, browse to the folder cvStopForumSpam_0.61 and upload the:
product-vbstopforumspam.xml not the: cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml inside the includes folder... |
I have
cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml in the admincp I have functions_vbsfs.php in the includes folder in the admincp folder I have cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml in the xml folder in the includes folder in the admincp folder I have ./includes/xml/cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml in the field that says OR import the XML file from your server on the import product page of the Plugins & Products system I have yes selected for overwrite I click on Import I get You did not specify a file to upload, so vBulletin will attempt to import the file ./includes/xml/cpnav_vbstopformspam.xml from the server's file system. Are you sure? I click yes I get error message Invalid File Specified |
Ah. Ok. That worked. Sorry to be so dense. Thanks for your help.
