not sure if I'll get in trouble for doing this but here is copy of the mod with the links for the smilies, post_new, and post_old fixed so you don't have to resave and upload gif files.

Just import this and over write the old one.

Okay I already have it installed and really like this chatbox but I have a little concern to ask about this.

My host has this rule

8.) CHAT ROOMS
We do not allow YOU to install YOUR own chat rooms within a shared hosting account, without approving it with ATBHost. This includes, but not limited to, chat applications written in PHP, Perl, CGI, Python, Ruby, etc. Any web application that provides 'real-time' chat is also not permitted. Most chat rooms tend to be large system hogs and we cannot allow it as an account option. However, web based forums such as vBulletin, phpBB or similar forum scripts are acceptable.

Does this ChatBox/Shoutbox break this rule and make it to where I couldn't use it. For the most part I do believe its okay but my host is weird and the guy I talked to seems like I'm breaking the rule so I figured I would ask here.

This mod can also be configured as a shoutbox, and should be on a shared server. Basically this means setting a low timeout for everyone to keep them from hanging out.

If you really want a chatbox on shared hosting, just use one of the other ones that hosts it off-site (e.g. Addonchat).

I already told you what to do. Look in the options section "Auto-refresh & Status" and adjust those settings. Mine is set to an auto-refresh interval of 30 seconds, a-r disabled for guests, and logout in 5 minutes.

You may also want to change the name to clarify it's no longer a chatbox.
