If you look at www.chetnet.co.uk/portal we want to keep the left and right columns, or maybe get rid of one of the columns, then look at www.chetnet.co.uk/portal/forum we want all the forums listed as you see them there, although in a more condensed version I will try and make a photoshop pic of it if you may think this will help Thanks Chet |
Hi, if you look at This site you will see that they have side blocks on both sides and then all the forums listed down the centre, this is what we are looking to do on our site, can it be done at all.
Regards Chet |
that has nothing really to do with this portal.
they are using their forum index as the sites main page and just added 2 columns. look for a hack here that adds a left column to all forum pages then you can go off that. |
Hello im new to using vbulletin and i had already installed vbportal to run with my vbulletin but then i started looking at the vbindex and i want to use it instead but i have no clue how to uninstall the vbportal without it messing anyhting else up or lossing any data i already have on the forums if anyone could help me plz let me know.

What you are requesting is another column on the left and on the right side. This is something totally different. This hack is not written for something like that. Your ForumHome templates are based on SQL queries which are done from your /forum/index.php. The vbindex.php does not have these queries to show all your forums. And to be constructive at the end: The easiest would be for your to take your /forum/index.php and copy it into your webroot and call new templates ( which you have to create ) and in these templates add a new table which separates your site into 3 columns. But if you need additional features like these one that are used in this hack then you have to add them manually to your new index.php ... OR use another hack. This hack will not be able to provide what you are looking for. Hope this helps to make your decision. Cheers, |
Why should I get this over vBHome?
